LeBlanc is to mages as Sona is to support.

Meh, she isn't OP really. She is a single target nukes just like akali. But i don't see why she is a problem when we have annie or anivia that can nuke a whole team.

LeBlanc is so worthless endgame and in team fights....

True, but if you put LeBlanc in mid, after lvl 3 she wrecks whoever she is facing. Basically kills at will. (Rhymes)

I didn't realize multiple silences and roots along with high damage were worthless in team fights.

Forgot about the silences, but I can see in a premade, calling out targets. She is a single target nuke.

She got nerfed almost to the point of uselessness after 1 day. GJ riot.

I want an exchange from LeBlanc to Sona plz.

You call a slight nerf like

"The LeBlanc hotfix should be our very shortly. There might be some tooltip discrepancies until you relog. Like I mentioned in the previous thread, we wanted to solve two primary issues: the strength of Q-R, especially at level 6, and her mana efficiency.

For Q-R the following changes:

* Reduced the initial damage on Sigil of Silence to 70/110/150/190/230 from 80/125/170/215/260.
* Reduced the cast range on Sigil of Silence to 700 from 750.
* Increased the cooldown of Mimic to 40 seconds from 30 seconds at all ranks.
* Reduced the damage amplification on Mimic to 10/25/40% from 20/30/40%. (The tooltip was incorrectly stating 20/35/50%).

To address her mana efficiency we made the following changes:

* Increased the mana cost on Sigil of Silence to 70/75/80/85/90 from 60/65/70/75/80.
* Increased the mana cost on Distortion to 80/90/100/110/120 from 60/70/80/90/100.
* Increased the mana cost on Ethereal Chains to 80 from 70 at all ranks.
* Reduced her mana per level to 50 from 56.

We made two minor changes in addition to the ones noted above. We reduced her armor per level by 0.5 since melee need to feel she's appropriately squishy, and we reduced the damage of Distortion and Ethereal Chains by 5 at all ranks to preserve Q's position as the highest damage output ability and not adjust skill choices."

nerfed to uselessness? Hardly, she was toned down to match everyone else.

So higher mana costs than most, toning down the damage to match the same as people who have alot of AoE, and increasing the cooldowns.

Fun stuff. I still would rather have Sona as she is still gamebreaking.

Higher mana costs than most? Lets see:

Malzahar:

Call of the Void: 120 Mana
Null Zone: 130 Mana
Malefic Visions: 120 Mana
Nether Grasp: 150 Mana

Total rotation cost: 520 Mana

Annie:

Disintegrate: 120 Mana
Incinerate: 160 Mana
Molten Shield: 25 Mana
Summoner Tibbers: 250 Mana

Total rotation cost: 555 Mana

Kassadin:

Null Sphere: 110 Mana
Nether Blade: 25 Mana
Force Pulse: 80 Mana
Riftwalk: 100 Mana + 100 every time it is used 7 seconds after it was last used.

Total rotation cost: 515 Mana (counting two riftwalks, 815 mana if using three)

LeBlanc:

Sigil of Silence: 90 Mana (After Nerf) 80 Mana (Before Nerf)
Distortion: 120 Mana (After Nerf) 100 Mana (Before Nerf)
Ethereal Chains: 80 Mana (After Nerf) 70 Mana (Before Nerf)
Mimic: 0 Mana (After Nerf) 0 Mana (Before Nerf)

Total rotation cost: 290 mana (After Nerf) 250 Mana (Before Nerf)

She still has lower mana costs than pretty much every caster in the game. Every single caster listed also has to be much close to the battle to effectively cast spells, none of them but Kassadin have a blink, Kassadin's blink doesn't allow him to immediately back out for juking or danger free harassing. The only cooldown decrease she got was on her ultimate which allowed her to bring down common mid champions to at least 50% health every 30 seconds just with a Q + R + E. LeBlanc doesn't need much AoE damage, she has more utility/crowd control and escape than almost every caster.

She is a very good 1v1 character, but I don't think the battle will be prolonged enough for LeBlanc to be useful. All it takes for casters is a couple seconds to nuke and then run...I would like to play her and test her out..but I just bought Shen as a tank character (I don't like him very much as of now =/)..

Comparing sona to leblanc is just stupid. I don't see why people are doing it. They are 2 very different play styles.

I'm not comparing playstyles. I'm comparing power and ability to change games. LeBlanc is terrible in teamfights, while having Sona gives you an auto-win.

Well....

Unfortunatly Lava is right, LeBlanc is a single target nuke while Sona is straight support. Thats comparing nuke to support, which are 2 different playstyles. Overall, LeBlanc is good in teamfights with double silences and a slow/stun, when your a premade team then you can have LeBlanc go for a certain target which can increase your chances in winning teamfights higher.

LeBlanc >=< Sona
