True but Axis had superior air power that was already bombing England. They were taking out most of the fleet just with planes and such. Sure you had boats and that but axis has the Atlantic wall which would stop England's fleet. It took all the allies to Break down the wall. Later in the war Britain would have surrendered.how do you know that? tell me how the axis could have invaded the UK, they had a smaller navy than the uk and well... have you seen the coast of southern england, its not the ideal coastline to attack. it would have been very hard for britain to have lost the war even before we start talking about russia... you know that other country in ww2
lol, you realise britain won the battle of britain before america was even in the war, heres a passage from wikipedia since im too lazy to bother saying this myself
"The Battle of Britain was the first major campaign to be fought entirely by air forces, and was also the largest and most sustained aerial bombing campaign to that date. From July 1940 coastal shipping convoys and shipping centres, such as Portsmouth, were the main targets; one month later the Luftwaffe shifted its attacks to RAF airfields and infrastructure. As the battle progressed the Luftwaffe also targeted aircraft factories and ground infrastructure. Eventually the Luftwaffe resorted to attacking areas of political significance and using terror bombing tactics.[nb 15]
The failure of Germany to achieve its objectives of destroying Britain's air defences, or forcing Britain to negotiate an armistice or an outright surrender, is considered its first major defeat and one of the crucial turning points in the war.[26] If Germany had gained air superiority, Adolf Hitler might have launched Operation Sea Lion, an amphibious and airborne invasion of Britain."
also, before america had entered the war britain was going in heavy with strategic bombing on germany so i fail to see this airial supperiority your talking about, maybe at the beggining of the war but not by the end of 1940
Yes i know that's why i go outside the box to point out what would have happenedI'd just like to point out that we will never know what could have happened we only know what DID happen, Germany and Japan were defeated by the Allied Nations. Do we really need to theorize about one of humanity's darkest hours?
