I'm really considering it. I have a PS3 and my gaming rig, but I really like OnLive's service, and I believe I wouldn't do anything but benefit from having it.

Steve says that they have a ton of games coming to the platform that will be announced soon, and that they even have exclusive game plans.

Thoughts? Rants? Cheese cakes?

Its a failed project before it even started. Streaming games live action play is not going to work well when user connectivity reachs 5 million...

If it sells 5 million I wouldn't say it failed, even if it sucks.

I'm pretty sure the more they sell the more server centers they'll put up. With all of the work they've done so far I'm sure they wont let it fall so simply.

I tried it out on my crappy laptop and i must say i was impressed with how well and non-laggy it was. I probably won't get it for a console though.

Not looking into using their console service, but their PC gaming service is pretty good. Only caveat is to have a good enough internet connection (no dialup!).

I'll always primarily be a PC gamer, but I think I'll end up using my OnLive MicroConsole as my new console, at least for multiplatforms. It'll be like Steam except I wont have to leave it on to download and find something else to do with my life 'till it's done.

If you haven't, I would read reviews before you buy this.
I have heard nothing but bad things about OnLive, and I believe at one point they were considering going bankrupt. Not sure if they are anymore or not.

The console i really don't see doing well. But the PC version has potential. I tried it at a friends house and loved it, just don't have fast enough internet at home. The only other thing I'm not sure of is, can you play games like Conviction with people who own it retail and not on Onlive? or can you only play multiplayer with other Onlive users.

I have it on the PC and it's works great. I've already read reviews, and they were positive. In fact one praised the MicroConsole through the roof.

Well if it does'nt lag at 100 000 user conectivity and stays stable beyond 1 million I might get but I foresee major lag and maintence shutdowns in the begining and the future.. not that it really matters for Canada as we wont have access to it as it will become another US only services. They say they plan to expand in the near future to other countrys.

Ah they've updated there policy,

3.Eligibility

In order to use the Service, you must be at least 18 years of age, have reached the age of majority in your province, territory or state of residence, and be a current resident of the United States or Canada. You represent and warrant to OnLive that you meet the eligibility criteria in the preceding sentence.

Lag still will be a major issue but if they somehow manage to keep it stable and fast I'm all for it!

Update: I created an account and tryed out a few demos, the server is pretty far so input lag was to be expected since I'm in Canada and there was but overall it worked just fine. If they get a server running in Canada I can defently see it working without input lag. I truly want it to work but it worries me about lag when it hits peek.

one reason i will not try this. after a year of not using this, all of your games will be gone. you cant get any back, even if you have payed for it. once they change that, ill go for it. unless they already did, no thanks.
