I was wondering if I should get Black Ops or not. I've heared that the game is really bad because of the screen lag. Oviously, your PC can't run Crisis. Mine can run Crisis but who cares! I was thinking if I should keep begging people to gift me Black Ops cuz my dad says I can only get it as a present or gift from steam. So, should I keep begging or not?

I have black ops.. The box makes a mighty fine door jam. my door never shuts by itself now. Thanks black ops! Kicking ass and taking names, door holding style.

Not worth it. rented it, played it, indifferent from any other "epic" shooter.

I enjoyed it. The multiplayer has some problems, not quite as enjoyable as WaW, but definitely more than MW2 (i my opinion anyway). Singleplayer was pretty trippy. Really, opinions will vary depending on who you ask, from "game sucks, don't buy it", to "awesome game get it now". You could try looking through some of the existing threads for opinions as well.

Also, this would probably be better in Misc. Game Discussion or CoD Division Discussion.

to be honest.. ive beaten the game, and played some muliplayer:

heres what i think:

Graphics: The graphics are alot nicer, more realistic in some points ,butin some points they seem a little odd or different (smoke, etc.) but the faces of people and the overall environment make for excellent gameplay

Weapons: The weapons havent changed much, they still have some from MW2 along with new ones (tomahawk, etc.) They are very well done and are very nice, nearly identical to their real-life weapon

Difficulty:The difficulty of the campaign is tough. It takes alot more thinking, alot more reflexes, and overall, knowing how to fight... If you arent great at many Games, id suggest going regula, then changing correspondingly

Campaign: The campaign, in my opinion, is much better. Its a very slow beginning, and doesnt really catch onto you, but after half-way through, the gameplay, storyline, and everything gets better. theve even added new vehicles, like them motorcycle, drivingthe car at the beginning, and Using the helicopter in the end (SPOILER)

Multiplayer: The multiplayer downgraded. The gameplay there isnt that great, and it is quite laggy, but its still fun if you are a CoD fan

Zombies: Last but not least, The zombie mod... The Nazi Zombies from World at was was fun, but this i think they made it better. much better with 2+ people, and can really help you in the future when you are in an apocalypse yourself :D

If you have MW2, dont bother.

Im thinking of selling my copy and going back to MW2.

The only thing BO has for it is no 1 man army and noob tube spamming, and the customization is cool.

But if you like games for actual gameplay and storyline? Mw2 blows this out of the water in every aspect except for the ones listed above.

You covered it all, but actually the grahpics got downgraded, because it runs on a different something.

It's bassically just a new MW2, kinda dissapoinint. But I do enjoy playing it every day, if that counts.

Yeah, the game is terribly overrated and is not worth the $60. But the singleplayer has it's moments and the multiplayer is somewhat qualifies as fun. If what I just described peaks your interest...then go for it.

I liked it and to me its worth every dollar i spent. MW2 sucks, story line was bad and the multiplayer was worse. Black ops has a good story line and the multiplayer is better. The weapons in the game are awesome and there are a lot of them. To me start asking!

I personally fell asleep playing during the storyline it was so bad. The driving parts you could not even steer the car, you held down a key to drive forward and that was all that you did. You also did some of the most pointless things I have ever had to do in a singleplayer game. What was the entire point of the SR-71? Go here and press A. Go here and press B. Done. It contributed nothing to the game, of which I spent more time watching cutscenes than actually playing.

So true. It did have it's peaks, but it was more like a movie. And the part you go to the Pentagon was really stupid and pointless (probably SR-71 idk lol)

yeah, the storyline was kind of crappy, and now that i think of it, the gaphics have changed... If you are a diehard CoD fan youll probably be disappointed, but the game wasnt good as expected.. The storyline was boring at first, but then it got a little better later on.

I never play the single player parts. The entire purpose of buying it is for multilayer.

They have already fixed the lag issues.

Multiplayer does have its faults ,but Treyarch has been releasing non-stop updates and it is already better then mw2 in the aspect of customization/personalization. The single player campaign is amazing due to the fact that it makes you want to find out whats next, what is the next mission, the next scene, and the ending was definitely on par with mw2 if not better. Now for the goodies, the zombies are a Treyarch trademark and they blew it out of the park again. Again just to reiterate the fact the multiplayer does need more work as far as functionality ,fps and such, but Treyarch is making the effort to give the player the best gaming experience there is.

On another note just as long as you are not harassing people ,or spamming our forums with "gimme this game please!!!" then your fine. I would do some researching and get some more opinions from other gamers to make a better informed decision about whether or not to try and get it.

Haven't played it yet, but it looks more like CoD4 than MW2, which is good.
