Blackops-Steam or store

should i get blackops from steam or a store?

Steam is alot more convenient, mainly because if you need to move your games (including Black Ops) to a new computer, you don't have to keep track of the disc of the CD Key. I know a certain person who lost his cd key and can't play a certain game now.

I always like having the game box, manual and discs. Usually comes with some cool artwork and looks nice displayed on your game shelf (hope I'm not the only person with one!), but Steam is too damn convenient sometimes! Their content delivery, in my experience, is second to none. If you want to save money like I always do, then I'd go for whichever is cheapest. Newegg had a $10 off promo code up for grabs last week. Wonder if it still works.

Steam!

I bought it through steam and it only took about an hour to download both the single player and multiplayer, downloading at the same time. This isnt very long and its easier. So i suggest getting it on steam to anyone that buys this.

Once you get it on disc, you can throw the disc away if you wish to do so. Once it's on steam, it's on steam forever. It activates on steam, and you launch it on steam. The only reason you would need the disc is if you are limited on bandwidth or have a very slow download speed.

All patches that Treyarch releases you download through Steam.

I would just go with the one with the best deals. But Steam's service is hands down the best for buying PC games. Once you buy it, you have it forever on that account.

But I would recommend Steam. No questions asked.

what if steam shuts down?? you wont have the game anymore ;)

If you had the disk, you could re-install it

Yes, that is a potential risk. Steam could shut down at any second and screw hundreds of thousands of customers out of large amounts of money. [/sarcasm]

yea steam's not going anywhere fast, lol.
+ you can "backup game files". not sure what it does, but I'm guessing from there you can make a cd of it yourself.

Blackops just like MW2 requires steam.

Even if you buy the disk you still need to register it to your steam account which means you have it forever on that account.

If your connection is slow I recommend store as you can install it really quick. Like 30 mins from the disk or a few hours on steam, you tell me which is better.

Although you could simply re-install the game you would not be able to play the game until steam comes back up.
