Well were to start
My wife and i were just getting dinner ready ,
when we get a phone call its our local police asking were we live.
we both think well you called us you must know that.
Anyway they were looking for us as our son had had an accident our hearts sunk.
Turns out he and a few boys had been playing on a frozen lake near there school. and our son went through it another boy jumped in to rescue him and they both got stuck on an island in the middle of the lake. while the others went for help.
All the emergency services arrived had to get a boat out there brake up the ice to get there and rescue the boys in there soaking clothes school bags and all.
we got rushed to the lake by the police as the ambulance was dealing with the freezing boys.
we then got rushed to hospital to have them checked out.

Thankfully they have both warmed up and nothing serious is wrong with either of them except our sons pride.
He now has to go to school tomorrow and face the kids who will call him an idiot for walking on there in the first place.
and we thank god he was spared.......

I bet next time he will walk home that girl that stays next door instead of walking across half frozen lakes lol.

wow, glad to hear he is well. lol funny about the pride, we all get our nick names some how
 
Oh man, that kid that jumped in after him deserves a pat on the back for going in to save his buddy. Glad everything's alright barmy.
 
I think catching a little grief from his mates at school is a minor trade off for continued breathing :P

Glad to hear it all ended well :D

Whew! Super-glad that everything is OK. Please tell your son that it's the wrong time of year for swimming. In Wisconsin they have the Polar Bear Club that swims this time of year. I don't recommend it however!!

Were thankfull for the bravery of his friend for his actions. not many people in the world risk there own life to safe another and certainly not at that age.

Not surprised that all the lakes are frozen, its been friggin cold here!!!

At-least he was ok, his pride on the otherhand.... well not many people can fix that xD
 
Luky your son didn't get some pneumonia or stuff like that , when you're in this situation you panic.
If I get a son , I would have been so happy.
