Need some critiques on this new build

Hey everyone, I'm looking into replacing my 4 year old desktop and this is what I got so far:

* CPU: Intel Core i5-760 $205
* CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro H70 $100 (Cooler Master 121 still an option)
* Mobo: ASUS P7P55D-E Pro $180
* RAM: G.SKILL PI 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 $80
* Case: Azza Hurricane 2000R $160 (not completely sold on this yet)
* PSU: Corsair CMPSU-750HX $140

As for GPU and HDD, I currently have a eVga GTX 470 OC and a SSD 40GB in possession already. Otherwise, would you guys suggest any other components? I'm aware of the upcoming SB chipset in the horizon but I've been told the one's being released in Q1 2011 isn't much to wait over the i5-760.

Also, does anybody have any experience buying computer components on amazon? Amazon seems to offer the same price as newegg without charging CA tax or S&H(free amazon prime).

I wouldn't. 4GB of RAM is plenty enough for gaming. Unless you're doing something like compiling lots of HD video, you don't need more than that. And if this changes any time soon, RAM is dirt cheap and an upgrade when it's necessary won't be too expensive.

@OP: That is one bamfing cooler, so if you're using something like that you best be OC'ing. I'm also not sure why you'd want a $160 case, but I suppose at least some of that has to do with looks. As for the PSU, it's fine but there are better. I don't know for sure if you'll be needing 750W, but if you don't then I'd look for something Seasonic-X Gold certified. This is 650W, cheaper, Gold certified and comes with good recommendations. Most of everything I know is just information repeated from other users though. They might be able to help out more when they see this.
 
Since it seems like you'll be overclocking, wait for Sandy Bridge. If an SB i7 can hit 4.9GHz on air, imagine what an SB i5 can do.

Forgot to mention, even if Amazon seems like it has the same prices, I'd bet Newegg deals will easily cover shipping costs. Plus, I bought a whole set up from newegg (case monitor everything) and I think I paid $3 all in all for shipping.
 
Meh, personally holding off on first generation Sandy Bridge. Actually, long as this processor lasts, going to wait until Intel's 2014 releases.
 
Amazon is good as long as your buying directly from amazon. You would know, says eligible for free super saver shipping and their prices are generally pretty good and about the same as newegg but newegg has some better deals sometimes and definitely a lot more rebates and parts selection.

But yea, as said, i would wait for sandy bridge, overclocking will be different but its worth waiting for. No point in investing into a setup thats just about to be outdated/upgraded in 1 month.

Edit: Also, i like looped water cooling kits because of the maintenance. But still, the performance isn't there yet for me, they don't match high end air cooling still but theyre getting close. My NH-D14 is still a decent amount faster even if its about 5C on load overclocked. Of course, its a lot larger and space consuming.

They should make high performance dual radiator kits, swiftech's are too expensive lol

I'm not so sure about the case, but that's because I don't know much how well AZZA is. I got a great deal on a CoolerMaster HAF 932 for $100 from TigerDirect.com. And I agree with a pet rock on the RAM, 4GB will suffice. Be on the lookout for a discount coupons, especially with Christmas coming up. There's some good ones coming out for Newegg and Amazon.
 
Looks fine to me, if you don't plan to SLI (you probably wont if you arent now), you do not need a Powersupply that big.

A quality 650w unit would run your rig fine.

As for the case, I'm simply looking for a giant case that will move air around efficiently and quietly while providing good cable management. The Azza seems to do just that since people are just calling it an upgraded Antec 1200 for enthusiasts. The cpu cooler on the other hand, I'm willing to sacrifice some performance for its ease of use and less clutter.

Also, for those who're unaware, you can get a free 1-year amazon prime membership if you're a student. 2 days shipping on all amazon store orders are free and 1 day shipping is just $4. There are other benefits I believe.
 
Newegg > amazon any day. Plus they ship overnight to me when its supposed to be "3-day" UPS.

That entirely depends on where you live and how close that is to the warehouse. Being in Texas, they'd have to use magic to overnight something from California or Tennessee.

oh really?? Do you have to be in college haha, im almost there lolz just like 1 more year. I see amazon prime all the time cuz of the 2 day shipping but i think my parents did it once but it was only for 1 month.

Anyways as for the case, i have the HAF 932 and its a great case, some of the best airflow. I love the Corsair Obsidian 800D though, that thing is pure sex lol. But a budget case that looks really nice, the NZXT Phantom is really cool looking and futuristic.

800D is pretty much for watercooling. How many intakes fans are there? Just one. At the bottom. There isn't even an option to get some running in the front.

Also, I wouldn't consider the Phantom a budget case. A budget case has to cost less than <$80-100.

Yea, well i meant cheaper.....still the Obsidian just looks like pure sex to me lolz
