AMD Radeon 6970,

1. The 5970 and 580 cost $150-$200 more.
2. The guy in the video is freaking annoying. Took me 10 seconds before I had to turn that crap off.
3. Isn't the upcoming 6990 supposed to be Radeon's newest flagship?

1. And the 570 costs $10 less, and will (in a few driver releases) be the better pick
2. What about my unboxing videos? :D
3. Yeah. Due to thermal limits, I believe it will be 6870x2, and not 6970x2.

Is linus the witch? If so, then yes. I just feel like he's trying to Billy Mays, which is deplorable.

Which GTX cards are dual-GPU? I know the 5970 is and the 6990 will be, but I have no idea about nVidia.

Oh, and yeah your unboxing videos are good if a tad dry. Thank you for not yelling at me. :)

Idk, the 6950/6970 don't seem that amazing, theyre pretty expensive. As some reviews said, the 5870 is a great buy right now for as low as $250.

I wanna see how the 6990 does though =) otherwise, i'd prefer to pick up a GTX 570 over the 6970 since its a tad cheaper yet performs better in most games.

Oh wells, i probably won't upgrade my GPU's for a while. Not playing any demanding games that need anything more than what i have.

intriguing, now explain again how sheep's bladder can be used to prevent earthquakes!

Back on track, I too have been unimpressed by the 6000 series cards thus far. But the prices are pretty attractive.

I agree, the 69xx series hasn't been blowing away the 5xx line, but I have a feeling they're looking more towards performance at a lower budget. And the 6850 is matching the 5870 at $200 where most newegg prices for the 5870 are still at $300.

I think you're asking for some Billy Mays action for my next video. ^_^
What you mean dry?

No frills, but you don't necessarily sound excited either. I kinda like it. Means you're not a Billy Mays/Linus witch.

If they're going for performance at a lower budget, then they need to drop the pricing of some of their cards. The 570 beats the 6970 in a lot of things, yet the pricing is backwards.

Oh I am excited. I'm just not the kind of person where I get all dumb when I'm excited.

I'll agree to that. I think the 68xx cards are right where they should be, and that's the budget area I'm interested in. Anything more than that is just unnecessary expenditures.

I'm sure you are excited; I'm the same way about that. It just means you're not projecting that excitement in your voice.
