At any rate, I was playing in one of your servers all night long (Black Mesa), and I had a blast. I only got this game yesterday, and I've had a blast.
Unfortunately, I think I might have been lied to and manipulated.
Since I am new to TF2, I don't know all the trade values and such. Still getting used to the game as well. My official "join" date was 2 years ago in September, but that was just a trial version. My friend finally got me the game for my birthday now.
At any rate, one of your members, Ploxman, told me he wanted my Festive Winter Crate. I don't plan on purchasing keys or spending real money in the game just yet (which is the only way to get keys, if I understand correctly), so I figured I could trade it.
He offered to give me a Name Tag. I didn't think this was enough for something that was unique like the Festive Winter Crate, and could fetch more.
He then told me this: He said he wanted a crossbow of some sort. He told me, if he got any item besides the crossbow, he would just give it back to me, since I was a new player. However, if it was a crossbow, he'd give me a regular crate back.
We made the trade, and I asked him what he got. He said to give him a minute. After playing a bit, I asked again, then looked around. I didn't see him. I checked recent player list... and he had left steam 7 minutes ago when I checked.
So now I feel cheated. The worst part was that he told me he would not try to rip me off, since it was the edgegamers clan server, and he was part of the clan.
I hope someone can inform me of how to fix this situation, and why he would cheat me like that.
