Hey guys, i just bought the vietnam yesterday but just couldent get it working so i ended up calling the support line and they told me its being released the 21. of december, thats today. He also told me it should work at 00:00 american time.

Its quite a while ago and i still cant use my serial code, it comes up with something like An error has accured, if this happend during your first creation then bla bla bla... Basically nothing usefull.

Has anyone bought it recently and had the same problem as me or did you just get straight through? Im not talking about those who preordered it by the way.

Um. Well, I pre-ordered it. Is this for the PC or some other console? Because the PC Vietnam came out the 18th, if I am mistaken, correct me.

Hey Data,

The preorder was released on the 18th with the actual release date being the 21st. That being said, if you have purchased Vietnam from Steam, expect it to be released sometime by or before midday, in the USA.

Steam usually has slightly later releases of most of their games, around midday. As for why, I have no idea.

If you purchased from the EA Online store, I'm not quite sure how they operate.


I'd wait for another six or seven hours, and if it hasn't been released by then, browse the Steam forums for topics on it (if you bought it from Steam).

Correct the steam version unlocked on the 18th pre-order or purchase anytime after that, atleast according to their (web page, facebook, or twiiter sorry can't remember which one they posted it on) when I was on it this weekend. They did say steam only version.

Dude you could of saved some time,money and a headache if you went to steam.
Have you tried restarting your computer it's always so helpful. But I would suggest being a bit patient right now because it's not your fault their just updating the system and all that cool stuff so hopefully you soon be playing! But just keep in mind this is a very huge game and its released to the world today so lot's of stupid bugs and such might occur such as what you experiencing now.

Do you have the retail version or the Steam version?
