As 2010 comes to a close, I started thinking about the past year. What defined it? Obviously many, many important events took place. But when you think of 2010, what is the first thing that pops into your head?
Maybe you live in the New Orleans area and the Saints Superbowl win is #1. Especially given Hurricane Katrina.
Or the release of the life stealing, ever addicting COD: Black Ops
Perhaps the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics:
(My personal choice as I'm from Vancouver: the way Canada came together, the pride that each Canadian felt, Canada setting the record for most Gold Medals, the fun that I had, Crosby scoring the OT winner. It's was just something that I will never forget. Truly once in a lifetime.)
The release of the iPad and iPhone 4?
On a more serious note:
The Haiti earthquake was very humbling for all:
The BP Oil spill was disastrous for Mother Nature:
The potential of the recent North Korea/South Korea friction was very frightening.
Or is it something personal. Maybe a loved one passed away, or you yourself got married.
Could it even be something like the mind-blowing, breathtaking, majestic, absolutely awesome break out of Justin Bieber?
There are so many options. It could be ANYTHING. So I ask you, fellow eGO's, as 2011 draws near: what defined 2010 for you?
