is this video card okay?

you can do better for the money...order online the same card from newegg is 40 dollars less andis a better version with twice the memory

for around the same amount of money you could have something like is which is alot better

although idk the specs of the pc your putting it in, but id suggest AT LEAST 50-100 more for a truly good card, u can get a pretty good card for around 150 bucks. one of the best graphics cards i ever owned was only 148 bucks

You're missing out on what could well be the best shopping experience of your life. Newegg is amazing.
 
i suggest ATI cards. Buy them from asus tough because u have bettter technical support there. Because:

- ATI cards make less noise
- They don't get as hot as nvidia
- They use less power unless u go beasty with 5970 (wich i have :P)
- U can update your card drivers with steam. How handy is that!?
 
why can't you go on newegg?

but if your asking if its better than a nvida 9800 yes, but id suggest a GTS or GTX card idk
i don't see why you can;t use newegg way better deals way better products
 
Since he linked Best Buy, I would assume he can't use newegg because he either does not have a card or isn't allowed to order online. I still suggest going out and buying a pre-paid debit card and order online anyways because A) Newegg has better selection and B) Best Buy's prices are a scam.

Proof here. That's a 1GB 240 that costs $40 less than what Best Buy wants for an inferior product. Hell, at that reduced a price you could even pay for overnight shipping and still come out ahead. For $120 you can get this which is better.

BestBuy will only match prices with other Brick and Mortar stores. So a Microcenter price will be matched, but TigerDirect or Newegg.com will be shrugged off. You can try Frys, but unless there is a Frys store within driving distance, I highly doubt that they would price match.

Best Buy is honestly one of the worst stores I've experienced when it came to price matching, especially for those of us who are price-conscious.
