Rather than thinking that they are stupid, think of them as different from you. And accept it.
The world is full of people who are 'different from you'. No matter where you are, no matter who you surround yourself with.
It's best to learn how to acquaint with people different from you and make the best of it in school rather than when it really matters (real life work).

me and my friends were mostly smart kids
but we got terrible grades because we were all screw ups that would rather have fun.

I don't consider myself superior, in fact I don't talk to them enough to declare such a thing. I just ignore them and do my homework. The few people who are intelligent get along with me, though.
But yeah, the fact that there are lots of immature people around is the reason we have communities like eGO, it's no big surprise. Nevertheless, I've found that without knowing their intentions, it's difficult to gauge others' maturity, so it's best to let them do their thing as long as they aren't doing any harm.
And give them time to grow up; patience is a key part of maturity, after all.
Yeah, ignoring it seems to work best with them. They don't bother me, and I don't bother them, so nobody is mad ^_^

All the "help" has been stated. Some useful, but most that I've read is just covering the 'problematic' hole in the ground with sticks and grass.. Disguised, yes.. but you can still fall into that sucker.. ANYWAYS, My intent isn't flaming, but merely the immediate things that come to mind when reading this thread. threads like these are unnecessary and they help no one, including the OP. my dude, I don't wish to make you feel uncomfortable or whatever, but, This thread DOES make it seem that you want to place yourself more superior than others simply because you cannot relate to them. It's called being a teenager, this crap happens often in high school. It's better to assimilate into it rather than fight it, because really, your just fighting your own paranoia of others being "stupid", or otherwise. You'd enjoy life a lot more, and your school life, if you looked into other people deeper, and not just strictly basing your opinion upon their intellectual capabilities.
I see mad people to be dumb, but I'm not going to parade that around. I get to know them and they're cool people, if not that, entertaining. Perfect example: Hot girls and anyone in Brooklyn
