Hey, my dad gets free internet from work as well. He's the COO of a small telecomm and has fiber to the home only 1/2 mile from the switch. Ridiculous speeds, one of these days they need to upgrade their home computer to match, the p4 on xp just isn't cutting it.

Interesting... says my memory is running at 633MHz, when I know it's at 1333. The CPU tests were both 1-2 fps. Is that supposed to happen? I got my i5 to 3.2GHz. Might try pushing it higher if I can figure out how.....

The CPU tests ran at 1-2fps for me, as well, and I was at 3.7Ghz.
The CPU tests run everything off the CPU, and the GPU does diddly squat. Even i7's get 1-2fps.

IIRC it was only running 4 threads on mine instead of 8 too. No hyperthreading, no bueno.
 
ya i even got 4 fps at times on the cpu test, but it is pretty funny how cpu dependent 3dmark is, and its always been nvidia favoured too
 
trust me, he didn't get that record because of his GPU, lol...

you make no sense.

If it was nvidia biased, the WR would be held with nvidia cards.


and his CPU ain't anything special.
 
6.5ghz isn't anything special? lol
theres a lot of things that favour nvidia over* ati, and intel just have better cpus than amd either way but the 5970s are pretty much top of the line anyway...i mean its crossfire dual gpus. if nvidia had a real competitor for the 5970 at that time and was run on the same specs i bet i'd be higher

6.5 on ln2 is pretty average.

If he had a 980x at 6.5 bench stable, then it would be special

Damn, looks like I'm not gonna be able to beat Phobus this time. Stupid non-stock CPU coolers...

I was trying to run it at 1025MHz, but I started getting artifacts on the Canyon Flight but not the others. Then it blacked out on me even though it was at <60C. Up voltage for stability, or no?

Up the voltage. If you can get that stable, you have a beastly card.
I'm going to have to run my GPU overclocked. Lol.
