Sandy Bridge Debacle

I knew EVGA was holding back for a reason.

15% is still enough to affect a total outcome of complaints and purchases, and when you're the biggest CPU manufacturer in the world, you don't just ignore it.

Considering Intel is estimating it'll cost $700M to replace the faulty motherboards, and correct the problem, with an additional $300M expected loss in revenue, Intel admitting the issue and working to correct it is commendable. Granted, it's loss is about 3% of the total revenue, but that's still a significant amount of money, not to mention delaying the release of other SB-based motherboards that could further decrease revenues.

At least they admit their mistakes unlike Toyota or Apple. For that reason, Intel just earned a few brownie points from me. Next time I upgrade, I will be considering them because I know they will take care of their customers.

No their holding out because they cannot make a decent board worth their life.....
