Valve has made their biggest mistake since the set hats.

Valve has been doing things that dont make sense when they created the ever buggy steam. "Let's create an engine, that over time will create more ways in which players cannot get into their games and play. Or at the very least take all day to log into them!"
 
More weapons? So what? Some people who get the game will get the GAME and the lovely GENUINE weapons, yay rare weapon name. If they're giving away more weapons don't complain.
 
I have no problem with these pre ordered items except that the stats on these things are awful what good is a pyros axe that sets them on fire and less damage Up Close! that = dead and dumb! Ya they might burn to death After you die. To choose that over flamethrower + axestinguisher or anything else for that matter doesn't make sense. The scouts not quite as bad imo but still looks a bit useless compared to his other weapons.

it would be cool if you could carry the axe instead of the flame thrower...

Yeah well... if anyone played like that it would kind of freak me out haha

dual wielding berserker pyro would be so epic! Someone needs to make a mod :drool:
 
Maybe the real issue is that people see this as a problem. Skill still comes out in the end. Only a handful of items could be considered poorly made but the majority of them come out alright.

No one has endless buckets of money to get these things.

How is steam a senseless product? It's free, it allows you to buy games and have them in one place. I taught my girlfriend how to use steam so I could chat with her while I play. I got my friends into steam for the same reason. If it wasn't for steam I wouldn't be here, since there aren't hard copies of TF2 in Argentina.
I hear a lot that steam is buggy, but I rarely get any error or anything out of place. Sometimes it will freeze, but that's it...

I agree, i very rarely have problems with errors, other then the fact that i cant alt + tab out of tf2 without it taking forever for me to get back in. (and thats only if i alt tabbed while in a area with alot of people shooting, running, etc.)
 
These weapons just look like cosmetics, I see zero real TF2 application for these.

So, my conclusion: If you want the game then you will get the weapons, if you don't then you have nothing to worry about. :) Maybe you can craft them in a week or so.

It does that for everyone though.

Mine does the typical black out for 15 seconds. But, only when I'm uber'd or am about to kill someone (bad luck).
 
I'm just waiting to craft them. I don't care about the "Genuine" monikers, I just like having all the weapons at my disposal.
 
This thread is tl;dr.

Stock weapons will let you kill everyone with ease if URGOOD. All the best players I know use stock + kritz + equalizer. When this changes, I will let everyone know. I might even start a mailing list and twitter account just for this.

IMO: TF2 has been ruined. It's all about garbage items and hats now. It has lost it's flavor.

Never does it for me, but I run it in full screen windowed mode.
