I don't know if any of you play HoN but Maokai looks like a ripoff of deadwood/keeper of the forest.

True but more of what I'm saying is HoN already did the tree, Riot should really try to do something that HoN hasn't done, and not recycle there old moves. Make something completely new.

I mean come on. There are 6 billion people on the earth. I'm sure everything remotely possible has been thought of. It's just pulling it off that's different.

Treants are everywhere... You can't exactly "copy/steal" a figure that has been used in everything from old stories, books, games, movies, etc.

According to Wikipedia, the treant was inspired by the Ent from J. R. R. Tolkien's world of Middle Earth. And shortly after it was used in the Dungeons & Dragons games.

And I'm quite sure treants existed before that in old tales of "tree spirits".

You all read into it to much. DoTA was the game that HoN and LoL are based off of. Where they got their start I guess you could say. HoN and LoL are competitors. I was saying that LoL should try to do something that HoN hasn't but ok.

Just to let you know, guinsoo (the creator of LoL) created DotA ALLSTARS
it was passed down later on to icefrog.
so he is just going on some of his old ideas?

If you really want to, you can draw a lot of similarities between HoN and LoL champions. Though we just roll with it, and Deadwood is one of my favorites as a random side note.
