Valve has made their biggest mistake since the set hats.

TF2 isn't ruined.
Some people like it, some don't.
It's still very tasty :)

I jumped off the TF2 wagon about a year ago because i knew it would turn out this way. Used to be a great game, its a shame.

I just play the game, and get the items and end up not using them. I just like the good team fun that is Team Fortress 2!

Really? Just chill out and deal with it, everyone will be able to get them soon and those of you who are saying it doesn't fit the art style, this game has been out for quite a while. Some games just change over time and I'm sure they need a bit of extra cash (Think about HL2: Episode 3 development).

The thing I dislike the most about how TF2 has changed is the economy, with people trading unusuals, promo items and new items left and right for insane prices, it makes me miss the old TF2 where the focus was the objective and working as a team. The only thing I do like about the trading update is that promo items became tradeable and everyone could get them now as long as they could find a seller, unfortunately we now have all this greed over new promotional items, trading has ruined crafting and normal play.

Despite this though TF2 is still a great game to play, I just miss the good ol' days I guess.

It is no longer the game I use to play. It use to require teamwork, now it is awash in individualism and showing off the new <<subject_item_here>>. Here's hoping they release (for free) a TF2 Classic.

I stayed on the TF2 bandwagon since a little after release and love all the changes and never regretted anything. Sure I would like more hats, but I got over it. I thought numerous times the updates would ruin everything. (The halo I swore would divide TF2 forever, I said that random item finds were dumb) Then I realized that I can still have fun without having all the items. I just stopped caring whether or not I got all the items and just wanted to play TF2. Needless to say I will still rate TF2 as one of my top games even with all the updates.
