Ep. 5 of freezing was slightly disappointing. Watch Gundam Seed/Destiny (both seasons) to start until we know what type of shows you're looking for.

Basic Plot. Every four years, a tournament is held to determine who will be queen.

This is another "short" anime, consisting of 24 episodes. It was somewhat strange. Other than the queen, all the "leadership" people were male. However, all the warriors were female. A few of the "palace guards" where male, but all the commanding officers were female.

One the FIRST and IMPORTANT things to point out, this show is NOT for kids. It's rated "mature" for a reason. All the women walk around in almost nothing, and that almost nothing always comes off during battle (which is every show), tops as well as bottoms. There is also some very (VERY) strong sexual stuff between some of the women.

The bad thing? It seems like the creators used 'that' to try to pull in an audience. The first few episodes were really not that good, as far as animation and "acting". (Had a lot of jiggly though).

They got better as they went along (or perhaps I started to get in tune with it).

I'm not sure I can recommend this one. I always watch at least the first 2 or three episodes, to give it a chance. If it was not such a short serious (24 episodes), I probably would have stopped.

Queen's Blade is no good- they take breast fascination and just go over the top. I enjoyed perhaps the first episode before the show became ridiculous and retarded.

Kore Wa Zombie Desuka? I'd recommend that for you. Ongoing, but funny.
Gundam Seed; Gundam Seed/Destiny. Will trump any and all of the mecha's you've watched in that list- only Lagann gets close.
Claymore. Just watch it :p.

And for random questions about Queen's Blade- You've been forewarned its true ecchi/minor Shoujo-ai/heavy fanservice. Still, beyond ep.1 I can't say I;d watch it.

Glad you caught my mistake, I meant to say "The first few episodes were really not that good" (I left the "not" out of the sentance).


The latter episodes were better. But as a said, if it was not such a short lived anime, I would not have watched them all.

I'm a big fan of GTO. I found myself laughing a lot. I'd recommend this one.

It's 43 episodes long. I may just watch it again.

Would like to throw in a recommendation for the anime Level E for it being absolutely the greatest troll anime ever. This show is like a bunch of small trolls all wrapped up in one giant troll on an intergalactic level ( watch the first 3 episodes to see what I mean )



Also I saw someone mention infinite stratos ( AKA Country Wars ) and I gotta say that the show is improving a lot with these past few episodes especially after I took someone else s advice and stopped watching the show for the mecha and more for the harem.


However unless there is a season 2 of IS then this anime will probably be a let a down in the end since season one only covers 3, maybe 4 volumes of the light novel out of 6 total that have been released with there being a rumored 15 more volumes to go.

I also noticed so far there's Japan, France, England, Germany, and China partaking in the country wars portion of the anime with Russia and America showing up in the novels. Just add Poland and Italy and it becomes world war 2.

Also if anyone is into some seriously heavy drama anime check out School Days. And though the first few episodes make it seem like a usual show it gets much much much much darker towards the end.

I agree 100% on Level E. Its just plain hilarious. I nearly died when the big troll's "plan" was revealed and the captions he put for the little trolls.

IS fails in every regard. It wants to be ecchi- we have Freezing that does it better, not to mention most all other ecchi shows previously released. It wants to be funny- Beelzebub and Level E blow it out of the water, not to mention most all other shows be they branded tragedy or comedy. Heck, I personally think Gantz was funnier than IS. The fight scenes in IS are far too CGI-ish for my taste, and definitely pale in comparison to Gundam (Seed;Seed/Destiny; 00;00season2, heck even to Wing). Everything IS has tried to do it has done in a mediocre way- indeed, I had to drop the show 5 minutes into ep. 4... Just couldn't take it anymore.

School Days... That is one messed up show. Can't say more than that about it on the forums alas. You will find out at the end :3.

March has rolled around, and "wave 1.5" of this years anime releases are going to be upon us within the next two weeks. Not very impressive list (wait till next month for a slew of seemingly good and worthwhile shows), but we have Kampfer "2", Moshidora, and Danboru Sensei. Honestly I'm looking forward to what the first two will bring; the latter show I can't even level a prediction on with this year's disappointing mecha release.
