Regulars to the site may have noticed a new banner in the Support eGO module. EdgeGamers has recently negotiated a deal with MaxFrag.net for a new Ventrilo server.
The server is live now, with much of the transitional setup work done by the good folks at MaxFrag.net along with our technical team. One big difference is the new slot count of 400, a much needed increase for our constantly growing organization.
The current Ventrilo hostname, voice.edgegamers.org, will be updated to reflect the new server IP address shortly. You should automatically begin using the new server as soon as this information propagates to your DNS. However, since it may take a few days before the new DNS information propagates, those wishing to join the fun in Ventrilo may need to temporarily update the Server Hostname or IP to vent.edgegamers.org or 70.32.33.5. The port number will remain 29272.
