Depending on Nuclear Energy: Yes or no?

The irony of the last 2 pages is extremely funny.

Yeah, I'm still laughing at my mistake but I also cringe because of my error. It's kind of embarrassing..I'm starting to wonder if I should go back and correct myself >.<

The U.S has always been a bit touchy on the concept of reprocessing Uranium. Both Ford and Carter banned it and though Reagan attempted to resurrect, but it never took hold. It was banned again in the 90s and was only brought back under Bush Jr. administration. So it is a bit unfair to single out Obama for killing U.S reprocessing of Uranium.

You can read about it's history in a CRS report on reprocessing here: http://www.fas.org/sgp/crs/nuke/RS22542.pdf
Im not really singling him out. I'm from from the US so I dont really know who is stopping it but from the wikipedia article it only stated Obama so I assumed it would just be him to put a stop to it. However if other presidents did that also then its fine... I wasn't trying to single anyone out. I was just saying at this current present in time the goverment in America doesn't want to reprocess nuclear material

(instead they send it to sellafields in the uk :P)

Well reprocessing would probably fall under the purview of the Department of Energy or the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, both are semi-independent bodies that get their marching orders from the executive branch. From what I've gathered, the primary issue of nuclear reprocessing in the U.S is that it would be done by private entities, not a governmental one. Because of this there are fears that reprocessed materiel could wind up in the wrong hands.

Why it was decided that used nuclear material be shipped to foreign countries for reprocessing...I don't really know. It sounds about as far from a sensible solution as one can get.

I know it's totally covering a serious matter and all, but Holy crap, I can't stop laughing. It's like they made this video specifically for me. Lol! This is hilarious. I like the music they play when a nuclear incident involves poop! It's great.
