Am I the only one that hate those school presentations on bullying and school violence that are REALLY sad? We had the dad of the girl that inspired from this site come talk to us about his daughter that died in the Columbine shooting. I was sitting next to all American wrestlers who were tearing. Like they all make me feel like crap. We have had like 3 different ones this year, and they were sad. This was teh saddest hour of my life. I don't want to be the only guy who cried and I don't want to be the only guy that didn't sucks. btw I go to an all male school.

That alone is reason to cry.

I've gone to all male schools since 5th grade and I love it. If you know many 15 year old girls you know how utterly absurd they are. I could not deal with that for 7 hours out of my school day. Also, we have 10x more freedom in what we say and what we do. All but one of my teachers is male and it is so much more engaging and explicit. Plus, girls in coed schools are treated much differently than all males schools and it sucks.

I'd rather be in a co-ed school, most of my closest friends are of the female type. Plus, dancing in gym class would be less awkward.

But onto the OT.
I would just cry. Holding that stuff back is a bit unhealthy.

Get use to it, life is sad. T.T

Image of this mans life

I hate the assemblies with the Invisible Children people, it makes me sad, and I can't understand the kids accents which makes me even more sad.
And the ones where it's like "My life was ruined because I did drugs." and "My life was ruined and I lost all my friends because I forced myself to throw up after eating every day."

This.

Studies have shown that emotional tears contain more manganese, an element that affects temperament. Sobbing out manganese is thought to relieve tension by balancing the body’s stress levels and eliminating build ups of the chemicals, making the crier feel better.

Crying is something that naturally happens, and all of us have done it atleast once in our lives. Don't hold it back man.

When I was going thru school we never had bully meetings.. and I wish we had. In middle school a kid stabbed another kid for bullying him so bad... :/ He always took the kids lunch money and turned his napsack inside out.. Back then the principles didnt think alot about it and now we have the bully laws and seminars.. and I'm glad we do. It may be sad but its true that people act this way and it's something that needs to be looked at.

I was bullied really bad through middle school.. just for being smart and a bit emotional (due to some events in my past)... my main bully was a dood.. (im a chick) everytime I wore black he would call me a cow and moo at me on the bus.. (I'm average height/weight btw) my last year in middle school he slapped me on the bus on our way home from school.. and that was the final blow.. I leveled his nose into his face with my fist.. and he never bothered me again... The bus driver didnt even say anything to the principle and the boy never said anything about it either. I'm not one for violence either.. but when he put his hands on me that was IT.

Bullying has always been looked over like its a right of passage and its no big deal.. but.. now we know its.

Trust me, its much better.

If you havent gone to a co-ed school, how can you say that it is better if you have no knowledge of the comparison?

The world is co-ed, might as well learn to get along and deal with it in a co-ed environment.

I went to a coed school from kindergarden to 4th grade.

But yea. I was mildly bullied throughout middle school. I didn't really care that much, but it was miserable.

I've always wondered about single sex schools. I think I'd find them pretty boring. Surely can't be good for your social skills.

Girls change a lot from 4th grade onwards.

Sometimes that means things that are negative, but there are also things that are very, very positive. :w00t:

Btw, before anybody body slams me, the same and equal applies to the fellas.

High-Five!

This thread is now a Co-Ed vs. Same Sex School debate. Co-Ed defense your up first.

Yeah I know it sucks, especially with all this crap going around on Facebook and stuff, but what can we do about it? Even with all these assemblies and news articles, the bullying will never stop. I had an assembly like that once and I swore I saw like 18 kids taking a nap during it. It's all part of human nature.

Meh, I don't feel as if it hindered my social skills any. I definitely do better around adults than my coed friends because of the much stricter discipline. I don't know as many girls as my coed friends, but I can talk to them as well.
