Thoughts on Tablets?

Also on some nice notes, android isn't really a work station on tablets. Tablets are more large media devices that are larger than an iPod. They pretty much replace those horrible carry-around mobile DVD players ( I have one, horrible chunky thing) and also serve as a games platform. Minecraft will eventually be coming to android so getting a good 7'' tablet to play it on would be a really good alternative to a laptop. You're hardly going to actually game on a train, plane or car on a laptop, but on the other hand on an iPad, android device or iPod touch why not load up angry birds and have a quick burst of fun while you wait?
They're fun devices, write your essay on your laptop, spend some time chilling out on your android tablet.

Eh. I think the tablets can be useful at some times (on a plane, tight area, relaxing), but I honestly don't think they were needed. I mean, I don't think you should be that lazy to get that and not a REAL book. Also, I think we can go without the internet for a few hours and don't have to carry around a silly tablet everywhere. >_>

The Flyer is nice.....would like to see how that 1.5ghz single core is........dual-core is going to become the standard though.

It ain't honeycomb though, but it will have Onlive game system which could potentially be good. Will have to see..........so many tablets coming out now

The Asus transformer looks like a really good buy right now........$400 for just the tablet and around $50 for the keyboard dock which also serves as a battery pack. Runs tegra 2 and honeycomb.....im looking at that right now

I wouldnt buy a tablet. To me it's just a waste of money. Like other posts, I think its just a really big phone without the phone part.
