LoL Replays

Hey all, I was peddling around the internet and I stumbled upon a 3rd party tool used to record your League of Legends games so you can have replays. Well, I've started using it and haven't noticed any performance changes (dual core 2.2GHZ), but a lower end computer might. I figured I would toss it out here for anyone else who wants this feature: http://www.leaguereplays.com/
From what I understand, it works similar to creating a demo file in TF2 or how the replay feature works in StarCraft 2 -- It doesn't record the video, but records the data received from the server. Thus, when you load a replay it loads up in the LoL client (you even get to re-watch the loading screen).

Here's where you come in. I've recently really started watching gamecasts (Global Starcraft League, TSL, NASL, etc) and thought "Well it hasn't been... that... long since I was in highschool and working on the Sports webcast team, I could probably do that!" If anyone uses this tool already, or starts using it after reading this post, I would greatly appreciate it if I could use your replays of long, close/intense games. I'm currently practicing casting my own games; but variety is the spice of life.


TLDR: 3rd party program that can let you watch LoL replays. Link provided. Can I have your best replays?

All I know is when someone mentions that program on the League of
Legends fourms, their thread/post gets deleted...

You prompted me to do a search in the general forum, and it came up with loads of results. Perhaps you're thinking of threads suggesting riot add such a feature?

That being said if there is sufficient evidence that Roit does not approve of this then of course I will take my post down.

Our engineers spent some time diagnosing the program and didn't find anything that made us suspect there is anything malicious living within. That said, like with anything developed by a 3rd party for the League of Legends community, please use at your own risk.

Ohh, I guess I'm out-dated then.

... The post is from 2011, so I haven't checked since 2010.

It doesn't "edit" your client. It just records the actions that are sent to the server and back, and replays them to the game later.
