there are only 2 seats in the front of the car, both occupied, one by the 13 year old driver, one by awkward girl #1.
the back seat however has 3 seats, only 2 of which are occupied.one by awkward girl #2 and the other by weird gesture boy.
so naturally the answer to this question only has one plausible answer...
Unless i missed something, it is pretty late, here is the answer. And i am moving my math books so i cant look up the answer to the verizon check problem. But it is .002 for the amount on the check, since e^i*pi+1=0.
The static force of friction is equal to the coefficient of static friction multiplied by the normal force, fs=u*N, where the normal force is equal to the force of gravity, or her weight, mass*g, where g=9.8m/s^2.
So in the first case u=.5, her mass is 40kg+10kg, so the force of static friction is fs=.5*50kg*9.8m/s^2=245 Newtons. In the second case you have fs=.7*40kg*9.8m/s^2=274.4 Newtons. The back seat is the right answer.
