In case you haven't heard, someone leaked everything about Modern Warfare 3 to Kotaku...and when I say everything I mean everything minus releasing the final build out into the wild. We're talking about the entire single player plot; where you go, what you do, and who dies. Pretty much everything about the multiplayer was leaked too.

Look, I know that the Call of Duty franchise is none to popular on these boards, but still this possibly one of the most damaging leaks of all time.
 
Though I haven't had an objective opinion about CoD since MW1 and that leak is pretty harsh....do you think they might scrap the franchise and move on now? *crosses fingers*
 
This is probably not the way they would've liked things to have happened, but I doubt that this will change anything this late in production.
 
Call of Duty is the new Madden. Even with this leak lots of people will scramble to buy it.

I don't play the CoD games but I have nothing against them. I'm sure if I got it (birthday or xmas) I would play it, I just can't spend money like I used to.

No, you're forgetting the ignorant people who buy the same game over and over without even thinking about any others. I'm not saying everyone who likes Call of Duty is like that, but there are a lot people who are.

And I have something against call of Duty...like how I haven't enjoyed the past two games that seem eerily similar.
 
If someone were to give me a free copy of mw3 I wouldn't play it. I have hated every single thing about the CoD franchise since mw2, last game I enjoyed was the original modern warfare from 2007, and the enjoyment died quickly with that lol. I can only hope that this massive leak damages them enough to stop releasing these god awful games after this one...

I heard this version of Battlefield isn't using the moniker 'Bad Company' - it's still a Battlefield game, just not going to be quite the same.


Back OT: Modern Warfare series has not been perceived as 'the best' for a while now. They force out games too fast, trying to get people to re-buy every year. They must be making a profit, because they keep doing it. I'd like to think this release will mark the start of a new trend of deep meaningful FPS goodness from them.

I still play COD 4 (love it). Black Ops just seemed kinda meh to me.

While I see your point, the CoD series have become dull for me, I don't understand why MW2 is looked down upon, it does not have dedicated servers, so what? I found the multiplayer more enjoyable then Black Ops, however this is just my opinion, but if you do ever get a free copy, I'm available...

Thats not why I hated mw2 lol. I hated the game because of the repetitive, boring gameplay and the community who played for kdr and rank over entertainment, and the fact that 90% of the players camped. Perhaps that is why I'm enjoying Brink lol, team work is a must and the game does not show how many kills you got or your rank (it will little post game stats after the match like, best [class name], most points, most kills, etc)

You're right about that. We're finally gonna get a true successor to BF2, the best of all the Battlefields to date imo. They're just taking the best of BC2 (aka Frostbite 2) and incorporating it to the original series. :)

Expansive maps, 64 players, Jets n Helis! mmmm I can smell it in the air....and it smells like tires burning on an LAV wreck.

Erm. You do realize that Battlefield was released long before "Bad Company" and "Bad Company 2" were in development, right?

Battlefield 3 is the true successor to Battlefield 2. Battlefield 2 was the successor to Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield Vietnam.

I am getting BF3 for sure though. Been playing the battlefield series since bf2, been hooked ever since. (BF2 is still waaaaaay better than bc2 imo)
