Gentlemen of EGO,

I've played on the CSS Office server off and on for going on a year if not 2. There is almost not a night that goes by that the same ole players show up and have endless rounds of practically impossible scores. Most kills every other round, continuous blind headshots, knowing right where to run to a hidden, non moving person, spinning headshots, etc. Same people, every round.

I hear from other e's demos are offered, sometimes people are banned, only to be reallowed by the highest e powers.

What gives?

I've been a computer programmer, manager, senior exec for ~20 years now. I know what is and isn't possible in gaming. This isn't rocket science. Why not take some action and stop the people ruining it for the legitimate players? How about going with some plain old common sense and statistics when demo's and reviews fail to prove what is obvious to the players.

Thanks for your consideration.

Well... It depends what is in the demo. Sometimes the demo is inconclusive so therefore it was just a bad demo. However when a player is going like lets say 41-1 then he is clearly hacking and is banned after a demo that sometimes may only take 5 seconds. However other hacks are less obvious. For instance a wall hack, or a bad aim bot toggle. You may need more of a demo to prove that they are hacking. Also for hacking it is almost never a ban on site sort of thing. You usually have to demo it then send in a ban request with a emailed demo.

When demos are sent in they are reviewed leadership who decides if they are conclusive or not. If they are conclusive they are banned. If they are not then they are not banned.

Sending a demo of a player who's blatantly hacking that's only 30 seconds long is quite different than if a 30 second demo of someone who is getting a kill or two a round. The longer the demo, they better as it helps show evidence against the alleged hacker.

If you see someone who has a good score that doesn't mean they're hacking after all this game has been around since 2004 with its predecessor from 1998/1999.
