My new *Photoshop* sig.

I previously used gimp, but now I have PS Cs5, and can make awesome stuff.

Now, I wasn't aiming for the star like feel, but it happened. Clearly, I didn't come up with the idea by myself, this was from a tutorial.

Here it is, just in case my sig is gone somehow:

Nice! The text is a little blurry though, would prefer it sharp and crisp!
 
Nice! I recently went from Gimp to Photoshop CS5 Extended :D
The sig below was my 3rd design (after one night of learning Photoshop tools and such)

Yours looks great imo.

I don't like to use tutorials. I like trial and error, that's the only way I learn how to use new features in Photoshop.

And if I watch a tutorial I just use the same technique to create something completely different, mixed with various other techniques :D

On topic: It's a nice signature.

I remember my first time; A complete mess.

Ya I have no idea what to do, do you suggest I just get an idea and try and make it?

Eh, I hate that, im TERRIBLE at linking things together, seriously. If I learn one technique in a tutorial or on my own I will find it extremely difficult to remember/use it in another image.

Even in real life, im terrible at linking stuff together.

Same the only way I would watch a tutorial is to download brushes, textures, etc. Maybe also to give a few ideas.
 
It looks great man - I love tutorials, they help me to branch out and generate ideas (ideas are as hats are to TF2).
 
When using tutorials you very often get a good result. Proffesional even.

But the art isn't your own and it doesn't make you feel like you accomplished something. It's someone else's art and design.
