That's right. The Battlefield leadership team would like to inform you that our Vietnam server is no more. eGO is withdrawing from Vietnam. All troops have been removed and we are redeploying to a Normal Mixed server! But have no fear, this server will be popular and full given the grassroots support for these settings. Spread the word, let your friends know!

This is exactly what many of you have been asking for, so please show us that your word is good; support the server.

We are gonna leave the current respawn rate as is for the time being. If we get too many complaints about the spawn timer being too long then we might shorten it but it seems that as is the respawn rate is the same as that on Heavy Metal (I very easily could be reading procon wrong).

The respawn rate is set at 10 seconds. That's half of HC Rush, Conquest and Mixed.

I can understand why the change was made, but I'm still a little sad. I was recruited from that server and liked how infantry-heavy Vietnam was.

indeed, all you naysaying failcore supporters, normal is the way BF is meant to be played! go play any other BF game and you will see!!!

inb4 ppl say DICE or EA said HC will be in BF3, that is 100% not true, neither have commented on that yet so no one except them know what modes. since its a BF game and not a BFBC game im leaning towards them going back towards the concept of one mode, no normal or HC distinctions

Edit: If you can show me an official statement or article by karl magnus or the community manager saying HC will be in BF3 ill just stick to the statement of you being CoD feverish with the HC stuff
