For those of you wondering "WTF is Quakecon?", I will put it simply. Quakecon is a 3-day, continous LAN party and gaming convention hosted by id Software in Dallas,Texas. It is being held August 4-7 at the Hilton Anatole. Best of all, its free! The website is: http://quakecon.org http://forums.quakecon.org for the forums. Last year, they gave away 2 Shelby GT500s, so come to quakecon, meet a few of us, and possibly win a car, or other cool swag.

Not quite sure if you guys have heard, but the Quakecon forums were recently hacked. I just wanted to say that more than likely ill hang out for a lil bit on Saturday (maybe Friday as well, depending on what all happens).

How was quakecon, my friends went last year and said without the pirating of kevin bacon and pterodactyls it wasn't the same

Ya must say that last year was really whack. There was very limited internet access. Most of the multiplayer action was on Quake Live. Over 75% of the gameplay was all sp games, which is a 1st from what I remember (been attending since 2005). Well looks like I will be able to come up there, but I will only be up there from Aug 5-6th.
