Alright, so maybe a bit of a stupid question but if you are trying to recruit what should you say?

You can ask in server if anyone is interested in joining OR add people who are having a great time and convince them to join. If you get one:

1. Thank them for considering and say how much you appreciate their interest.

2a. Ask them if there is anything specific they have been wondering about.

2b. If not, go on about how we:

• Have members only events
• Have nine divisions supporting over 15 games
• Have the #1 ranked Ventrilo in the world
• Are a great family community which is a heck of a lot of fun
• Have a pretty cool admin system (talk about it a bit, you know)
• Are easy to join in a quick three-step process

Think of other things to say if you must, but with those options, I think it's a pretty easy choice!

Referral Count is not equal to Recruit Number. Referral is how many people put you down for recommended by when they join the site. If you want your recruit count, you can probably ask a PSC advisor.

Here's the step to check your referral count. Follow this

1) Click on search

2) Then click advance search w/ a magnifying glass.
3) Then in the box "keyword(s)" put your name.
4) Then find the Search in Forum(s) and click on Personnel Service Center - Join eGO Here!
5) Click search now and the results will come up with the threads of applicants you referred.

That's the difference, sometime people don't put the correct referrer.

Thank you for clarifying. It's been quite some time since I registered and forgot what signing up for the forums themselves entailed.

A good way to get recruits is to go on other servers. Just because most servers and communities have rules against recruiting, doesn't mean you can't recruit. Just play the game. Be the ideal gamer, be polite, and be a good sport (play like you would on our servers.) This will be other players impression of eGO, and they will come on our servers to see what we're all about.

Also, a good way to speed up the process of helping a recruit join is to go ahead and get their Steam ID for them! A easy way to do this is go ahead and copy their steam profile link, and ahead to www.steamidfinder.com and input the link you copied in the box provided. It will then give you their Steam ID, which will make it a bit less of a headache trying to help them get MAUL activated!
