I know eh? It's weird hearing and reading of people talking about "the hurricane" vs "a hurricane". I actually had to go goggle it to see what the fuss was about. Gotta say... maybe being in a very remote area (where we have no floods, hurricanes, major earthquakes, etc), doesn't look so bad anymore.

To those that have to deal with it, stay safe.

i'm getting the wind now, lots of tree limbs and i saw one small tree knocked over so far. strangely still have power as of 9am est

still have power, but this happened just over an hour ago. it scraped against the side of the building but no damage to my building. crushed the downstairs neighbor's patio fence though.
 
Were getting hit with a lot of rain here in Maryland, no thunder or intense wind. We got lucky this time
 
no hurricane yet for me, should be expecting it soon though
 
She tore through Long Island early this morning. I punched her right in the eye and she continued on her merry way up north with minimal damage here.
 
central PA got a good hit, but little to no damage. Heavy rains and maybe gusts up to 60ish...

haveing gone through several when I lived in NC.. Irene was a baby.
 
This sucks, I feel bad for the people that have to pack up and get out. Hope everyone in eGO that lives around there pulls through safe!
 
Well this has been an active week here first an earthquake then tornadoes and now the hurricane! All in one weeks time. And my powers out possibly for at least 5 days. Might hook up my generator to my computer so I can play some games fortunately I still have internet with the generator running so I might have some gas powered gaming time ahead. :D

I am here in Maryland too Beta! Only here we did get the intense wind and all!

The hurricane.... she was over hyped. The NE needs to grow a pair. Florida and the Gulf Coast are laughing at you and the media for making this seem like the storm of the century.

Ummm isn't that what the media always does? Over hype things so you keep watching? I don't think your comment "grow a pair" was appropriate for those that lost something in property damage or whatever in the hurricane, earthquake, and tornadoes that all came through this past week. I don't understand why you would even bother to post something negative like that in the first place.
 
it was really windy, that was it. I lost power for the past 36 hour too, but besides that it was fine i guess
