Mac or pc

Some people like Apple os, some people like windows. Just boils personal preference really. I prefer PC because most of the Massive price difference ($1.000 on a high end pc vs. $3.000 mac with same specs).

Up next:

Ford vs. Chevy

East Coast vs. West Coast

Coke vs. Pepsi

Choose wisely, for if you do not, you will be a pariah subject to scorn and ridicule.

They're both just as good (and bad) as each other, but I don't see why you'd waste the extra tons of money on a mac since its really just worth the same amount.

gaming/better and cheaper hardware = pc

photo and media editing/aluminum casing = mac

Windows 7 and Mac OS's are both good operating systems.

A note on hardware: Both are modular, but mac is more expensive and less choice when upgrading a part.

I am a PC, but I do like having my iTouch for internet and media when I'm on the academic side of my school

Mac AND PC

I have always used PC's (Well since the Apple II). About three years ago I took a job where I am forced to use Apple.

My thoughts:
MacOS is (way) friendlier to use than Windows for day to day stuff.
Converting from Windows to MacOS was VERY difficult for me. (Like I said, I had to).
Apple Laptops are impressively well designed and built.
I am not sure an Apple would support my multiple screen/video card gaming.
OMG the Apple iPhoto is UNBELIEVABLE for arranging pictures. (Go to Apple.com and watch the video on it...you will be impressed. This same level of OMG is in a lot of their basic software.)
iPhones and iPads have the same basic icons and setup as MacOS.

If you just have a passing knowledge of Windows the transition to Apple would be easy and recommended (You are already 'drinking the kool-aid' if you use an iPad or iPhone). If you regularly use the windows 'hot-keys'....life is too short to attempt the transition (IMHO).

PS - My BFBC2 name 'Kernel Panic' is a screen that comes up when your Apple locks up...it is the BSOD for MacOS. Yes, your Apple gives you a nice, informative screen when it locks up...

For gaming I stick with my PC, but for everything else I use my Mac. It is more functional and that's just the way it is.

Oddly enough, I found the transition pretty easy and I use the Mac Command hot keys more often than Windows ones. I found myself trying to exit something on my PC the other day using Command+Q and I almost raged when it didn't work, lol.

Really, PC is not any "better" than a mac.

It's all personal preference.

I have both a PC and a Mac, I use my PC for gaming, and my Mac for Graphic Design, Music Production, surfing the web, etc. I have gamed on my Mac a number of times and I don't notice much of a difference. I actually like the 27" screen better than the monitor i got for my PC.

I've noticed that Macs seem to run smoother for designing, production, surfing, and everything around that category. PC's do and always will dominate Macs in computer gaming, that's just how it is.

Honestly, they're OSes. Not a big deal.

I rock both xD

I had the same debate... I went with the Mac and I'm really loving it. But the thing is, I'm currently running Bootcamp, dual booting both Mac and PC :)

I do homework and browsing on my Mac side and gaming on PC side, it's great!

Ok. Well alot of people are just saying pc some with reasoning thank you others. But it is all based on you really what you like if you can stop by Best Buy try out a Mac and then Windows computer search the internet see which one you like Mac seems to be exspensive while windows has a normal basic computer that will need to do all you want at a lower price mac is just so exspensive cause of all there extras Camera's Video chat ETC. But stop by Best Buy and try them out!

if you want to get any actual work done, I would recommend a mac. Or you know, any unix operating system.

If you just want to game I'd go with windows.

Honestly.
Don't buy a mac for ANY reason what so ever is what I say.

PC's are way better for video editing and desktop publishing (Photoshop).

We have the advanced programs and Macs have the basic easy to do everyone thinks is better when it really isn't programs.

Buy a PC, save money, game better :)

PC definitely, more software and hardware are more available for PC. The MAC is like an editing machine if you know what I mean.
