This is a day 1 purchase for me - (if not pre-order). Funny - When I added DotA2 to my Steam wishlist, it show up as 'DotA2 Beta'?

Yea mine says Dota2 beta on the wishlist. I also signed up for the beta. Can't wait!

Yup! If I get into the beta, my short (but thoroughly enjoyable) stint with HoN thus far will have come to an end.

I'm gonna give it a shot, though to be honest never played the original Dota since I didn't have a computer back then. Friend suckered me into LoL, I like HoN a bit more though (i hate flash) so gonna give dota 2 a shot...probly get mauled on day 1 by all the people that played the first dota though.

If you want to get prepared for DOTA 2 then you should play HoN with us. We have a group of people that get together and play every Saturday as a group, plus several of us play throughout the week.

I'm on HoN now actually, though still learning various champs and all so kind of hit and miss. Sometimes just total feed and others I manage to carry (usually only with deadwood swiftblade and once as ra). Name is the same as on here just without a space.

They're making progress, I noticed that they actually added a thumbnail icon for the DOTA 2 listing in my Steam wishlist!

I got into the beta for DOTA 2 recently... Why isn't this game released yet? I haven't had any problems so far, like crashing. I wish TF2 was half this stable.

This is actually my first time playing any DOTA style game. I've never played DOTA 1, HoN, or LoL. There's definitely a learning curve, but I'm getting the hang of it. In particular, I enjoy playing as Tinker, Juggernaut, and Drow Ranger. Juggernaut is a great character at higher levels, but kind of struggles early on. If you build him up enough, his Omnislash just totally decimates the enemy team. Drow Ranger is good at pretty much any level and is great for beginners, though she seems a bit tougher to play at higher levels. Tinker is just all around great once he has the Boots of Travel. Thanks to his Re-Arm ability, he can keep pressure on the enemy team. Cast Heat-Seeking Missiles, March of the Machines, Re-Arm, and then another round of Heat-Seeking Missiles and March of the Machines... Crazy.

I already filled out the survey before even posting my message on the forums, that is why I<m asking if maybe someone has an invite because I dont know what to do to be able to play.
