In a few weeks, Caspian Border will be one of the top maps to be played. People will be team killing for jets, while victims cry on the side lines for not having the simulated aviators ride. All is the life in Battlefield.

The question is: how will YOU fly a jet once you get your hands on one?

Are you going to be the guy who uses his quick button smashing and mouse swiping movements to dodge missles, or utilize the two handed man stick to guide your jet through victory?

Let us know!

Just so I can break the ice, I might actually use a PS3 controller.

Jets didn't have a sensitivity I liked with the mouse, and flying with assigned keys on the keyboard didn't make it accurate.

So I happen to have a PS3 controller that I used for wireless gaming on my PC and the dual joysticks might actually be useful for coordinating movement in the air. I need to set it up on my desktop and test this in BF2. I might dedicate a day or two just for testing what controllers I might be good at. :thumbup1:

Stick, assuming it works. I use a Logitech 3D Pro and wasn't working for me when the Caspian Border servers were still running.

jedi mind.

nah but really, probably 360 wired controller, with xpadder, or keyboard/mouse.

(on that topic, anyone know if bf3 will have gamepad support? i haven't been keeping up with the news. cheers)

Either a Logitech 3d pro or a ps3 controller if I don't get it sold.

i did fly one during the beta using my 5$ wired xbox 360 controller from goodwill(brand new in a box, i know lucky me :P). it was quite difficult for me. especially the part when you have to aim the plane straight down to shoot down. :/

in BF2 i used keyboard / mouse only be came a problem when trying to pull up, usually bail out tho =P

"Use the Force Luke"
*puts down joystick

Luke, use the force,
and run.
Run to Dagobah,

Did you find attacking ground units harder than attacking aerial ones?

Keyboard/mouse until I break and buy a Joystick. Luckily I can change my mouses dpi at the push of a button.

You see, I do that with sniping. When I zoom in, I lower the DPI for a more controlled shot. I want to think it will be the same thing with jets (increasing the DPI for rolls and turns, decreasing for aerial or ground attacks), but it seems like it will be too complex to keep up with, especially if you are focusing on which way you need to fly to.
