Instead of making a whole new (mostly ignored or forgotten) thread, why not just post corrections in the offending threads of others?

At least this way those that know it's wrong but don't know how to correct it, can come to this thread and find out the correct word.

And also you can vent on misspellings that irk you.

Been there. Did that. Now I'm doing this. Grammar and whimsy, what's not to like.

So have you read the newsletter yet? Click on the icons on the front page. There are surprises inside.

Don't forget "effect" and "affect". Oh, or "than" or "then".

Quaffer, you should put intentional grammer mistakes in the newsletter and give prizes to people that find them lol

Believe it or not, each news letter article is reviewed by at least four people, just so we can bring you the finest in journalistic edification.

Well that's all I have time for now. I must go supervise the editors as it is time for recess.

Thanks to hooked on Fonniks, I can now red at a fifeth grade level!

You have done great work Quaffer. Your quintessential work with grammar is always useful and exquisite to read, every time I observe another of these excellent threads being created I am most tempted to begin using fantastical long words that stun and bring a smile on the faces of the audience that understands what is being described. Oh it is so emotive and perhaps I am being a bit flowery about this, but nonetheless, I do deeply love it.

Quaffer, I think the next edition of the Grammar Nazi should be in reference to adverbs. It drives me crazy seeing the lack of proper adverb usage on the forums!

Also while 's usually denotes the possessive (eGO's members are the smartest) this rule does not apply to the word it. It's = it is (It's good to hear from you Quaffer) and its is possessive (The News Team posted its articles on the forums).
