Hey, I got an idea; let's discuss the second season of The Walking Dead! I mean we have a thread dealing with that pony show, we might as well have one about that Zombie Soap Opera.

Anyway, a few ground rules:

1. Season 1 spoilers are fair game. If you haven't seen season one you best get on that right now. It's all up on Netflix and it's only six episodes.

2. Episodes of this season that have aired are fair game too. If you haven't seen em yet, you might want to check em out before venturing in this thread.

3. If you've read the comic...well good for you. There are a lot of people who haven't. If you're going to bring up something from the comic use spoiler tags...especially on when discussing who dies.

So without further adieu...

I thought this episode was a great start to the season. Some great gore, brilliant suspense, and the whole love triangle is flaring up in a great way. Also Andrea is proving to be an interesting character.

What did everyone else think?

Thought it was a good start to the season. I forgot about this show until someone mentioned it was back on. Awesome.
 
As someone who re-watched it on Netflix recently, I did have one question:

At the end of the last episode of Season 1, the CDC doctor whispers something in the Sheriff's ear. Looked dramatic? No mention of that at all in the first episode of Season 2. I feel like it was either: Your wife is pregnant (and it'll probably be from the other guy she slept with) OR maybe the doctor could see from the bloodwork that the Sheriff's son was actually not his at all?
 
I'm curious to see how it goes since its breaking away from the comic by a lot now. I do prefer the comic over it so far, BUT I do like Daryl as an addition

highlight to see spoiler> And that in the comic Shane was killed by Rick fairly early and they spent way more time at Atlanta (from summer to late winter), actually teaching everyone to shoot. I'm still hoping Andrea becomes a sharpshooter like in the comic and maybe meet the governor (might be a little to much for TV though) <

Yeah, I love the Redneck Rambo.

Yeah, I'm actually a little excited about them moving away from the comic. Shane could have a little more juice in him before they kill him off though after the CDC rape attempt you know Shane is going to eat a bullet eventually.

Well I figure it's either that the pregnancy is Shane's or it's that they are already infected with the zombie virus...which we figure out during the prison arch.

...wow it almost looks like my post has been redacted.
 
Rogue, they did mention it:

At the very beginning when he's talking on the walkie talkie to that guy from the first episode, he tells him that the doctor said something to him and he was about to say what it was but then he says nevermind.
 
I loved last season , and the start of this season was great... i hated to see the lil boy get shot, but he will be ok ... i hope :)

Actually it wasn't Rick that killed Shane in the comic, it was Carl. Shane had a shotgun held to Rick when Carl runs up, pulls out his pistol and shoots Shane right in the neck.
<Spoiler end I just read the first 48 issues a few days before Season 2 aired :P

Anyways I loved the start to Season 2 though I am upset about one thing(mentioned below). However I do like the fact that Darrell is in the show.

What I didn't like is the fact that Tyreese hasn't come into play yet. He was one of my favorites in the comic and he was supposed to come into the story with his daughter and her boyfriend right after they all left Atlanta. I do hope that he comes in to play eventually.

Pretty decent start to the new season.

Ending kind of got me. I figured something would of happen of that kind of nature but not quite that.

Also kind of glad the kids are gone (Well one of them). They annoy me to no ends with the crap they try and do.
 
I watched all of Season 1, but to be honest, lost interest in it as I was watching Season 2 yesterday. Seems to be getting too repetitive - same goal every episode. Gonna keep up with it and hope to find it more amusing.

The deer at the end was pretty sad for the boy. What a darn shame.
 
Yea I'm sorta curious as to what Dale is going to do in the series


and since I still dont know how to do the spoiler bar > Yea I forgot that Carl shot Shane, but then again I'm on like issue 86 or so, that was awhile ago. And maybe Carl was shot by Otis and meet the whole Greene family. My biggest hope for this series is that they meet Michonne, man she's badass with that sword

Meh. Figure to put it up and not semi spoil it if people did not watch last nights episode.

Also figured there would be.

I just hope that they don't make Rick a shell of a man who whines about his son's lost at every emotional chance he can get.... That would get old quick.
 
Love the start of the season but almost afraid that the whole season will be about them looking for Sophia. Also, very sad to see that deer die!!! I know Carl lives through the whole endeavor, but poor deer!!!!
 
Really enjoy the series and thought S2E1 was a great start. The zombies are looking pretty amazing this season so I have high hopes we'll see even better/gruesome looking walkers throughout this year.
 
watched season 1 on netflix... just waiting for season 2 to be released..... Can't WAIT!!!
