I want to talk to everyone who is playing in the beta just for a few minutes right before the game opens up. I want to go over the server and also some important information that you will all be glad to hear. Lets shoot for 4 p.m. EST on Friday. I know Thursday is Thanksgiving for Americans and people like myself are going to be out all day eating delicious food. I would just like to know who all will be there and lets go have fun. :)

Put it in my phone's schedule. I'll be there!

Out of curiosity, do we have a guild formed up yet in the beta? I'm in Shii-Cho with a few of the other eGOs, but wasn't sure if there was a guild made yet. Would be nice to be able to chat with everyone via text for the times I can't get on Vent.

I will try to make this, i need to learn a lot of stuff. haha, but is Black friday, and i may be sleeping at that time as I will be out all night shopping. Anyways, im downloading the game now for the beat test,... and i was wondering how does it go about teaching 100% new players, how to play, cuz i've never played a game like this befor..?

May be putting Parent's Christmas decorations up. Will try to be there, though.

Jake, I'll probably be playing it quite a bit, barring breaks here and there and helping take care of the kiddos and meals and such.

If you want to hop on Vent and find me, I'm a very patient person and an MMO vet. I'd be glad to answer questions and help you figure things out. We can hop in a private channel while you learn the ropes.

If you've played a modern RPG like Dragon Age or the like, it's not all too different. Select target, push number keys to attack them with your skills. Talk to NPCs to start/advance/end quests, loot and equip items, etc.

I can't recall if the game had a tutorial system, to be honest. I've been playing so many new games the past few weeks they're starting to blur together in my mind :P SWTOR, Skyrim, Batman, Assassin's Creed, Battlefield... oi!

Alright yeah! thanks a lot i will defiantly look for you, my Vent name is (Jakob "Jak3rs" Vetsch).

I got some big announcement that a lot of people probably expected....

For those who follow the Dark Side...there will be cookies!

Only Americans have Friday off, keep in mind. It's just lucky for me that I'm self-employed, so I make my own hours ;)

I will be there 100%. and Jake i will probably be playing TOR 24/7 Because i will be on Christmas break. so i could teach u stuff about this game. I have past mmo exp.

Yea i just found out today what time the game opened up would Thursday evening at 9 est be better?

I could probably make it myself, but I don't know if it would be better for most, sure to be plenty of Thanksgiving conflicts.

It's this game that makes me wish I was still in school. I'll be working the entire Christmas season while students will be out there beating end game flash points....That has really got me questioning even playing this game when it comes out. I don't want to be excluded from things because my hours are not as free as others... :(

Don't worry about keeping apace with the hardcore. There are plenty of us that aren't in school that have commitments, be it work or family. Plus people will be starting new characters to try out the other classes.

With 80+ people in each Guild, I doubt there will be many times when you can't find somebody to play with.

Games shouldn't be about grinding as hard as you can to finish as fast as you can. They should be about enjoying the experience. The raids will be there when you reach them. The group content seems to be spread through the levels, so you'll get to see that as well.

Though I do commiserate. I wish I could sink in as much time to this as I did to Everquest back in my bachelor days. I played that thing like 40+ hours a week. I think by the time I quit, my main character alone had been logged in for over 400 days of cumulative time.

But it's healthier this way, and avoids the common problem of turning the game into a job and getting burnt out and not enjoying it.

I'm going to cancel the meeting, after giving it though there is no need for it. All I really wanted to say is have fun and if you didn't know the NDA no longer applies so if you want to stream and post screen shots and videos Bioware has said you are more than welcome. Have fun and see you all Friday morning. :)

Bleh, Saturday morning for me according to the email I received last night. Can't catch a break.
