lack of ping

Any ideas of why i cant see my own ping in BF3. I can see all others but i cant see my own. I have disabled my firewall and antivirus nothing. No change!

Any other ideas would be wonderful and helpful.

I think its a glitch sometimes I can see it ingame but what its at the end of round scoreboard I only see a dot.

You can "see" your ping by looking at the server browser screen on Battlelog then taking that number and either doubling it (usually) or keeping it the same (if it isn't like BC2's system).

As far as I know, this is the only way to check it reliably. Unless there's a console command that is something like show_FPS_1 or something or that nature.

the ctrl-alt-s shows FPS, and the next ,I forget the name is your ping, it's always within about 4-5 of what other people in game tell me they see my ping as.

I've seen that IGO Time around 200 almost consistently and all the way to 600 on mine and I've got the best internet available in my area. No firewall blocking the ports and a decent rig. I highly doubt my ping is that high especially without any noticeable lag. I even thought maybe it's because its denoted in a different metric prefix (Micro instead of milli) than standard games. Even so a ping of .2 or .6 even more unlikely than 200 or 600. I honestly don't think it's ping at all. That the only way to check your own ping right now is through battlelog or have someone else tell you.

the other players ping is based off of yours on the scoreboard and I dont think is intended to show yours. so in other words you view others pings in contrast to your own and can figure out where those lagg kills are comming from after you run behind cover.

The scoreboard shows relative ping now; so what you're seeing is your ping in regards to each player, therefore it doesn't show your ping to the server.

It's not relative... There's no way jtipton's relative ping to me in Missouri is the same as his relative ping to Mr.Sajora in Germany....
