CS:S Quickly Applied Hints&Tips?

Hey guys I thought it would be kind of cool if each person could throw in a nice little tip or two that can be quickly and easily applied within a few minutes. Nothing painfully obvious.

Here's my contribution...


Learn the spray patterns for the m4 and AK47! Although spraying isn't ideal it's good to know how you should be compensating.

For example:

AK47

Want good rates? Sick of bad hitboxes?

cl_cmdrate 70
cl_updaterate 70
cl_interp 0
cl_interp_ratio 2
rate 30000

this will not fix other players bad hitboxes, though. (i.e. Champ)

I don't know, spraying can work really, really well, if you do it right.

Here is my 7 step plan.


1: Have your volume up high so you can hear footsteps.
2: Turn some soothing music on real low.
3: Grab a Para(M249)(machine gun).
4: Sit and wait.
5: The second you see a spec of someone or you hear then turning a corner spray the crap out of your Para.
6: Run back and reload.
7: Repeat steps 1-6.
