Operation Metro Exploit

I don't really play Operation Metro, but a friend showed me this video where they were able to get under or above the map.

If someone mav exploits and gets above the map, they are able to kill people with C4.

I just found out about this and I couldn't find a thread about this using the search function (I searched metro exploit). So I thought I would make a thread to inform you all.

I love how they came to be ridding the map of "stat padders" yet get a mutli kill just about every time with C4.

Be wary for this on our servers guys... I must be honest here though.. I was just thinking, what if you were on the enemy team as this guy and you were on the stairs. You just look up, and C4 accidentally pops through the roof. That would be hilarious.

I hope the tool that made that video gets banned and/or stats wiped. It's one thing to find an exploit and report it to DICE. It's another to use the exploit while recording your asshattery. This is not cool in my opinion. Leftenent is only stating the most obvious warning. But in all honesty, these sort of videos shouldn't be spread around the community. It just promotes poor game ethics.

Personally, I found it more helpful so I know what is going on if someone does this. However, I agree that whoever discovered this (unless they were truly testing for bugs...which this one was not), and anyone who used it should have some sort of punishment.

I think it is just great that these people find exploits like this, then go around posting them online so they can show off, in the end it just ruins it for them.

Nah just kidding, I wouldn't do this myself because I know it'd piss me off like no other if someone was doing it to me. I agree with what someone said above. Don't get rid of MAV just make it so you can't ride it

The fact that people are able to camp and end a match with a 80/120/150 kills - 0 deaths without hacking(and are able to rack up more points than a medic spamming med kits and revive sticks all round due to MAV kills counting as additional vehicular scoring).

I think these facts alone show that the MAV was and still is the 'rubbish-est' idea/item/tool in the game.

mav is fine and it's a great tool for rush maps with ti's ability to spot the enemy and destroy there soflams and other equimpent... now it should not bable to kill people, nor be ridden, also while not under control of the player it should not give it's motion and spot plus's... as for the vid, I come from eve... so this is nothing it's out there it will get quietly fixed in a patch.

I made this video, found this post through embedded videos on my account page and also your website shows up under the video under the view count "As seen on EdgeGamers Organization", nice site SEO by the way.

The reason i made this video was to force EA/DICE to do something about the MAV ortherwise they will leave it be, this also pisses the stat padders off on Metro.

And yea I'm from EVE too played that game since 2007.

EDIT: I don't do this shit ingame, just for this video
And my graphics were on low as i use a Radeon HD 6670 for my graphics card
Another note, it's within game mechanics so no ban, hell EA don't even ban hackers they just reset their stats.

Well my answer would be to change the map to something else until they release an update for or something.

But then sadly they have won.

Not a great fan of the map myself i much prefer Gulf of Oman or Wake Island and my last Tehran Highway but then we are all different.
