How did you find steam?

It found me....back in the old old days when Steam was new...but I needed it for CS/DoD (the originals)
 
I used to play DoD 1.3 on my dad and brother's account all the time when I was about 8-10 years old. I finally got my own steam account on December 11, 2004 when I was 11 where I continued to play DoD 1.3 for years and years. Didn't play much else besides that and a little bit of CS 1.6. Got CS:S in 2009 and didn't play it much till 2010 and now I mainly play that.
 
Heard about it through GamingRobot and timidquail.

Then TF2 became free.

Then I got Steam.

Had CS back in the day and had to switch to Steam to continue to play :)
 
My retail version of UT3 was messed up when I bought it. Then one of my friends told me that I should try to get the Steam version of the game, which I did, then I ended up buying even more video jeans.
 
Voted for I don't use steam because i doubt anyone on eGO doesnt use steam tbh.
 
I found Steam through a class!

In my collegiate high school, I had to take an elective for May term. I picked Gaming, and each student was given a school-owned Steam account to use for the class. It's thanks to that class that I was introduced to Steam and Valve games.
 
Had CS and DoD and had to go to Steam to keep playing them. Actually started on my cousin's account and one time I called him to ask if I could buy something and put it on the account and he said "Why don't you just get your own account?"

And here I am :)
 
My friend got me TF2 and played that a ton. Later I remembered playing a cracked version of CSS years ago with my brother (couldn't play online) and then decided to buy it for real.

I'm pretty sure this is the coolest class ever.
 
I watched my brother play Counter strike all the time when I was a kid so I found out about it throught watching him for years before finally gettting it.
