I have an amd phenom 2 x4
The video card that i currently have doesn't work with my mobo so it doesn't really matter
I don't have a set budget but I don't have $200 to spend

Well for 200$ to spend that aint much. Ide suggest spending around 60-70$ on a 500W PSU. The cheap higher watt ones are rated higher then what they actually are. But for 30$ more then your budget you can get a GTX 560Ti for 230$ on newegg. Can play BF3 on ultra. Depending on which card you actually buy in that price range

I dont need to play it on ultra im more into gameplay than look I'm looking at more medium settings.

Well still. With a higher card now means you dont have to upgrade again in 4 months to play a game.

IF you still need to buy a PSU, get a 460. If you just need the card get the 560Ti. You can get a used one on OCN(overclock.net) for cheap.

The problem with a 460 is that its a POWER DRAIN. It takes too much power for the type of card it is. You can get the same performance from a basic 560. non Ti with less power

HUH??? The GTX 560 is a GTX 460 that is overclocked, so the gtx 560 will have a higher power draw. The gtx 460 is a great card, that or an hd 6850 will serve you well. Both are on par with one another, so get whichever has the cheaper model if you like. They should be able to run on your psu without an upgrade hopefully, assuming it is of decent quality and can supply what it says. One advantage of the 6850 is it does have even less of a power draw than the 460, so that is one reason to go 6850. Lately, it has also had some cheaper prices, so since power is possibly an issue here with little info on your psu, the 6850 is probably the better bet.
