My Current headset is about to fall apart, so ite time for a new one. Was looking at Sennheiser, but they're a tad expensive for me (Ones I've seen were 175-200 ish). Then i saw these from an amazon review:

I've heard mostly good things about steelseries (Plus this headset will match my D3 when I get it) but want see get more opinions before I order.
 
Steelseries mostly sell nothing but quality headsets. All my headsets have been from Steelseries because of their reliability, and my current headset (Steelseries Siberia V2) is a knocker.
Has good bass and crispy audio.

I'd recomend mainly 5HV2, 7H and Siberia V2 from Steelseries.
I've owned all except 7H (which I suppose is the same as 5HV2 except improved).

Never tested the diablo III version, but it looks oddly alot like Siberia V2, but can only assume it's an improved version.

Also must add that all headsets I've had (5HV2, Siberia and Siberia V2) are very comfortable to wear even over long durations (4-5 hours straight).
 
Steelseries make good headsets, very reliable company in general.

I think the Diablo III version is just that......Diablo III colourway/design. It's probably the same as the Sibera v2 just Diablo III themed.

I have the original Siberia and it's great
 
The D3 version is only $10 more than the original Sibera v2, plus it glows :D
Think ill be sticking with that.
 
I have the Siberia V2 and I cant attest to their quality. The strap over the head really does make the headsets very evenly weighted and good for long hours of use. The diablo appears to be a remake of Siberia V2, just a different design and leather earcups.

Also one other thing, although it is plastic construction, its not the cheap breakable kind of plastic. It feels very solid. Also because there are no moving pieces besides the mic, it would be hard to break this with normal use. (i.e. I've had headsets break on me due to the movable plastic headband breaking from use, these won't do that.)

I've been using Pioneer SE-M390 for a long time now (Had SE-M290 before that) and I have to say, even tho they are not meant for gaming they are perfect for it. :) I'd give them a chance as they just cost around €50-70
 
I am using and like very much my Plantronics GameCom 777

got mine for $49.99 during a sale.. regularly $80.00.. they are extemely comfortable, have plush headrest and ear cups. 50mm drivers bring the sound to life.. using the included USB Dolby connector(I use it) adds 7.1 quality SS. In game the sound effects are amazing. Being able to hear foot-steps and reloading in a 360* atmosphere has taken my gaming to a new level of play. I highly suggest these. Includes a hide-away noise cancelling mic.

Good headset, mostly. Kind of expensive, though, and the mic isn't that great; on top of that, the '7.1 surround' isn't the real thing, and the whole thing is made of kind of cheap plastic. Other than that it DOES sound pretty damn good.
 
The set I use are Astro Gaming A40s with the Mixamp RX for 'wireless' capability. They are not truly wireless but they are fantastic and its like having a home theater on my head. Sound is very well balanced and quite comfortable for long use. I was hearing things I didn't hear with any other set I've used. The ear surrounds are not fake leather that will tear up from stubble which was extremely annoying with my last pair. The built-in mic is excellent as well and can be switched from side to side. I'm using the optical in on my PC for the audio.

I did a review of it on Amazon where I bought them from, but it was Astro Gaming selling them and they do not appear to be any longer. :(

Bad thing is they are expensive compared to the other listed models. Worth it IMO. Will be quite some time before I buy another pair and I have used these for about a year and a half, no issues.
 
Ordered it yesterday. Should be here by Wednesday :D

On a related note: My router finally bricked after 6 years of use. Had to make an emergency run to the nearest walmart at 1 am to get a replacement xD (was the only place open that late).

I have the Logitech G930 which is the wireless equivalent of the G35. I can't say enough good things about this headset. The mic does NOT suck would be the first. Also, it is made of plastic but it is of sound construction. After having mine for 4 months I have to say that they have held up very well. Considering I use them 6+ hours per day. Music also sounds great on these. The bass is incredible. The circumaural design makes for good confortable wearing. Also, the plastic makes them pretty light which adds to the comfort. I agree they are a bit pricey, but well worth it.
 
Any turtle beach headset should do you fine or you can go to Google & type in headset and put Highest rateing

I recently got this headset, I found it on Amazon for 105$. I think it's worth it though, the treble sounds really good and it has just enough base. In CS:S I can hear where people are really well. The mic sounds good as well and is bendable! Music also sounds amazing.
 
Had the headphones for all of 2 hours, and I'm Seriously impressed with them :)

Excellent sound quality, very comfortable, louder than my old ones. only problem is the usb cable is a tad short =\

I'll second this.
 
I'm still using my Sennheiser PC160's from three years ago. Going strong, love them.

The sound is great, especially while playing CSS, helps pinpoint enemy locations. Adding in the USB Soundcard has made them even better.
