A couple people have asked how to turn off the gameme stats windows in-server. To do this, type "gameme" in the server, then select option 7, or "Autoranking". From there you will see option 4, "Disable". Simply select 4 and you should be good to go. This will not hide the chat-based kill announcements, but will hide the "session" windows that some of you are currently experiencing .

Good post Blue, now I won't get so depressed when I see that I dropped -50 points for accidentely TK'ing someone on Anzio.

With the old stats system, Console events -> Disable used to hide point reporting upon kills/deaths until they were toggled back again. I notice with gameme I have to disable this each time I log in. No way around this, I suppose?

I am not familiar with that command, but you can always edit your config.cfg file to make changes such as that stick from session to session.

Im not sure if he was joking last night, but I think I heard Anni saying he found out how to hide them in the chat logs as well. To find out if this is true or not, and what the command is, he would have to chime in here or you will have to ask him.

Yeah these look equivalent to the GUI options, I'm more wondering if there's a way to make these changes permanent.

you should be able to just add the following code to the end of your config.cfg file located in your cfg folder:

Code:
gameme_display "0"gameme_chat "0"

there should be a " mark as the last character in your current config.cfg file. simply append the above to the end of the last command in your config file like such:

Code:
lastcvar "value"gameme_display "0"gameme_chat "0"

Awesome thanks, will try it when I get home tonight.

Nice find. I was wondering about this the other day. I find myself paying more attention to the numbers then what I'm doing sometimes. Thanks!

Skippy, if it does not work permanently in your cfg file add it to your autoexec file instead.
