God, I hope so.

I would buy it. I've even considered picking up the Playstation Vita, and I don't even like consoles. Soo many options

Biggest FAIL for Valve or FAKE? :/

I could see this dominating the console market. This would build a solid bridge for cross-platform multiplayer. I'm also envisioning Steamplay being taken to the next level. Buy once, play on PC, Mac or Console.

I don't see this as a console. If it is planned to be able to run origin as well then it couldn't be some proprietary valve OS. It would have to run Windows. Hence just making it a very specialized PC. It could run Linux but steam would first have to release a linux client along with linux games. and same for EA and origin.

Personally, I think it's literally just going to be steam on a console. Nothing more, nothing less.
I just hope they bring TF2 back to the console and finally update it.

I doubt it will happen. Even if it does, it's Valve. It will be out in 4 years minimum.

Plus, they should have priorities in other departments.

TF2 is still on the console. The problem is that TF2 fell off the grid on console because no one plays it on the console because theres no backpacks/items to earn. Which makes TF2 on console basically pointless and if they did add backpacks/items it would be so difficult to keep up with updates/watch for hackers who hack there backpacks to have more items.

Just when I thought Valve couldn't possibly fail more :facewall:

[PloxBox]

It sure would have alot of games....

[Fear Feathers]

i've read about this, but from what I read is that Valve would make platforms if they REALLY have to as a last resort, but seeing how well games are flying off the market via steam I dont think we will see one anytime soon
