Battlefield is supposed to be just that... a battlefield. If I wanted to play some CQB I'd be playing CoD. It's not QQing to want the game to stay true to it's roots. Op Metro and other CQB maps aren't fun... at all.... they turn into CoD matches with people running around with USAS12/RPG/M320's.

I feel like this patch is an effort by EA and Dice to steal some of the CoD market.

Except they are making up for the CQB w/ the Armored-Whatever-its-Called-Might-as-well-be-armored-fury expansion.

I for one was very disappointed when I saw Close Quarters...At least make it multiple buildings, like a multi-office-building complex or something. But to just be in one building = CoD copy.

B2K maps + Firestorm + Caspian + Kharg = True Battlefield feel (pretty close anyway)

I guess I just don't see the issue in letting them appeal to multiple people. In my opinion, you all need to grow up and realize that there is going to be Armored Fury later on down the road, albeit after Close Quarters. Point being, DICE can't work on two expansions at once and have them both prepared, finished, and debugged by one date (plus, marketing technique, anyone?).

If you don't want to, don't play it. However, don't whine about it. CoD can just as easily release larger maps, and you know who'd be happy? Who might play it? Us. That's exactly what Battlefield is doing, and who ever said all of Battlefield has to be large, and all of CoD has to be smaller? Variety is best.

EDIT: This was only one preview, for Pete's sake. Let's see some more footage before we rate all the maps again...not all of B2K is great, but some of it is. Give it a chance, people!

I just look at it as a little bit for everyone, Its an incredibly powerful engine, and they are able to make maps and modes for every gamer. kudos to them, I'm looking forward to playing it

All you close quarter haters will be picking this game up and you know it! As for me I will be getting any battlefield game that my fellow members will be playing. I enjoy playing with others regardless of what game I am playing. If the majority are picking this game up which I am sure they will then count me in! If there is explosives spamming then I will join them!

Their appealing to what statistics are stating are popular. In fact, they are appealing to me highly. I enjoy TDM more than Rush and Conquest.

If variety is the spice of life, I'd hate to try a dish made by all the QQ'ing BF elitists out there.

In my opinion they have already tried to make BF more like COD with Origin, and sad to say these map packs only prove it. I just bought the B2K map pack, and refuse to buy another, the only reason I bought that is I was told without it I most likely wouldn't be able to play online as most servers use it. that is fine,but I stop there.

Make it like CoD with Origin? Call of Duty games integrate Steam last time I checked. (I don't know about MW3, I know Black Ops does)

So your saying CoD sucks....because it uses Steam? If you are referring to Elite, that service is completely optional and does not need to be used in order to play CoD on any platform.

How does Origin integration = CoD? Recent Modern Warfare games use Steam and I'm quite alright with that, with the nice friend system, achievements, etc. I have not played MW3, but MW2 did not have any external browser like Battlelog. And I don't mind paying for extra content, but I have a problem with the recent prices.

Ok?

1. I thought Steam was the most favorable DL service for PC gamers. It's CoD evil now?

2. Call of Duty did not invent map packs.

3. Play style is the most important part of a FPS to set it apart from other games of the same genre.
