Another Low FPS thread.

I have a 3.2 GHz Processor with a ATI Radeon HD 5670 and only get 60 FPS in game... What are some good things to change in the Advanced game settings to get this up?

And ever since dod 1.3, I've always input "rate 25000" into my consol. Should I put something else?

turn off vertical sync, it caps your fps at 60.

your clock speed, which essentially equals your computation speed, is very low for gaming. Recommended speeds would be 2.6 ghz and higher. The i7 920 that you have is expensive because it has 4 cores, each clocked at 2.0ghz. However, this does not mean you have 8ghz clock speed. Since source engine, and particularly DoDs only utilizes a single core, 3 of your cores basically do nothing in gameplay to assist with the arithmetic. Because of this limitation, your cpu clock speed is underpowered, thus giving you low fps.

That opposition being the hoards of uh.. yeah whatever it sounded cool and funny at first but I decided I should go to bed.
