alright. if you have read my previous topics, you know what has been happening with my computer as of late. to fill you in if you don't know, when i go to log into windows, my computer runs fine for a few minutes, and either blue screens, or freezes.

i took my computer to one of my dad's friend's shop, and they fixed it (or they thought they did). after a few days, it blue screened itself, and now i'm back to the original issue. one of you guys told me to look on the blue screen itself and see if i can't find the issue. here's a line that i think you were looking for:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

i don't know what that means, but hopefully you do. i will be ever thankful if you guys are able to help me fix my computer.

i attached a text from directx. i used the run feature and typed in dxdiag.exe, so there's that if you need it; not exactly sure what it does (it was in one of the stickies)

Would you be able to try this? Restart your PC and boot into safe mode by pressing F8 once per second, after the initial boot screen until the advanced boot options show. You can then choose 'Safe Mode With Networking'. You may see another screen after, if so hit enter here. Then you should get the resulting white text on black background loading up. This is normal. Once you get back to your desktop after clicking through the Windows safe mode operation alert dialog, go into your device manager by hitting Windows + R then type devmgmt.msc then hit enter. Navigate to where it says 'Display Adapters" and expand the tree there. Does it by chance have an exclamation point or question mark? Even if it may not, try downloading a fresh copy of the drivers for your video card, or if they came with on an install disc you can use that. Prior to install, you can follow THESE steps to do a complete uninstall of the video drivers.

Im gonna just say whipe out the hard drive like I sed before. I know you sed that your not the only person who uses the computer but what you can do is transfer those persons files onto an external memory card or hard drive or anything. Format your computer. And place back his/her stuff so he/she doesnt end up losing stuff that they need. Then you can always download and install the latest drivers for your GPU on nvidia's website.

Post a screenshot of your device manager for me.

-To do this, right click on computer and go to properties. If you're using 7 or Vista it will be on the top left. Left click on Device Manager and then select that window so it is the primary window.

- Hold down ALT and then press print screen on your keyboard. This takes a screenshot of just the selected window to cut down on the other junk we don't need in the screenshot.

-Open Paint and paste the screenshot and save this file as a .jpg. Host the photo somewhere like imageshack or imgur and post it here for me to take a look.

Excellent. I was thinking of doing the same and possibly Teamviewer in and see what's going on first hand. Hopefully you two were able to correct the issue. :thumbup:
