Has anybody ever had their car broken into? Well it happened to me last night and its the absolute worst feeling to know that someone went through all of you personal possessions as if it were their own. Definitely not a fun thing to experience! :thumbdown:

That sucks. Whenever I leave my car anywhere but my driveway I make sure NOTHING is in clear sight and if there is anything I put it in the trunk. Demotivate thieves by making it appear that you have anything inside.
Invest in a decent car alarm especially if you have to leave your car in not so desirable places to park OR if you have expensive aftermarket products installed. (Stereo head-unit, speakers, subs, other noticeable electronic equipment)

Yeah, had an alarm but had to disable it due to me dropping the key pad thingy in water. Good times :thumbup: They took my entire dashboard out. So rude!

Yeah I know how you feel Mini. I had my car busted into a few years back, and a little under two years ago my house was broken into, I lost a bunch of stuff. I still don't feel 100% safe here.

Haven't been broken into but someone did try. A few years back (when I was 9-10) we took a cross-country road trip to Louisiana (our first visit there.) We stopped in Georgia at some seemingly decent looking motel. I remember waking up in the middle of the night and hearing a bunch of people running down the stairs outside our room. The next morning we found the driver door all scratched up by the handle, and marks of what looked like someone tried to pry it open with a crowbar.

Yeah, some one broke the window and tried to start the car but it didn't work. Scary thing was after they couldn't get my family's car another car of the same make and model was stolen a hour later pretty nearby. Some one obviously wanted that kind of car.

Yeah, had someone twice in our vehicles, one got into our pickup and rummaged thru our glove compartment, the other was drunk and got in our car to sleep, after coming to the door and knocking, my wife answered and he wanted to come in but my wife turned him away. He then went and got into our car. We called the cops, and he took off.

Not my car, but my house while we were sleeping. Or well I was awake but I tought it was my parents
It takes me an average of i'd say...10 seconds to unlock an average vehicle with my door tools,less time for the most simple locks.
So mini,other than parking in a high visibility well lit location and enabling your car alarm and keeping valuables out of sight sorry to say not much else you could have done my Friend and i'm so sorry you were violated.
